Unforgettable

Chapter 4

The drive to Busch Gardens was around 30 minutes because there was no traffic. When we got there, all of us used our passes to get into the park. Once we all got in, we went straight to Apollos because that's the ride closest to the entrance of the park.

After we rode a couple rides we all decided to get a squad pic together so we asked some random old guy to take it for us. We all got into some random pose but since I'm awkward I pretty much just stood there so J put his arm around me so I wouldn't look so silly in the picture.

Once the guy gave me my phone back, we looked at the picture. It was super cute.

"Hahaha Jack look at your face!!" Bailey said. "Aw J and Kaylen look so cuteeee."

J looked at me and his cheeks were really red. He gave me a smile which I gladly returned. When I turned back towards my phone to look at the picture one last time, he kissed my cheek. But I wasn't surprised. This was typical for our friendship.

"Guys. It's 8:10pm and the park closes at 9 maybe we should get going." Jack said. Me, J, and Bailey followed him towards the front of the amusement park so we could go to the car. As we walked through the parking lot, J grabbed my hand and held it. He was being especially friendly today. Still, though, this was normal for our friendship so I didn't think anything about it.

Jack got in the drivers seat but this time Bailey got in the front seat and J and I got in the back of his car.

"We should all come back to me and Kaylen's house to hang out." Jack said. Everyone agreed so we drove the car towards our house.

The whole way home I just stared out the window and occasionally glanced over at Jack. I even think I caught him staring at me but I'm not sure.

Once we got to my house I haut put a random movie on from Netflix. It happened to be The Interview. Bailey and I have seen it before but I think this is jack and jacks first time watching it.

Halfway through the movie Jack put his arm around me and turned to look at me. Our faces were only centimeters apart and I was sure we were about to kiss. Thoughts were flying through my head but the main one was that I didn't want to kiss him and then ruin our friendship. But by the time I had made up my mind, it was too late. J was already leaning in and so was I.

We kissed and it was such a short and simple one. Probably not even 2 seconds long. I don't think Bailey and Jack saw that. I hope they didn't. Even though it was so short, it still just made me want to grab his cute little face and smoosh our faces together. Wait no what am I thinking we're just friends. Actually, I don't know what we are anymore. We kissed. What does that make us? Before I could think anymore, the movie was over and it was already almost midnight.

"Bailey, just stay the night, okay?" I said to Bailey.

"Aight Kay, that's what I was planning on." she said and laughed.

"Alright I better get going." J said and looked at me with his bright eyes. I walked him to the door and towards his car. When we got in front of his car he stopped and turned towards me. He leaned in and kissed me. Again. This time is was even longer and passionate than the first. When our lips pulled away, he smiled at me and got in his car and left without saying anything.
