"Boys! Get over here! We need to talk." The players head into the gym, where the coaches sat on the bleachers, looking pissed. Most of Karasuno and the members of Kageyama's harem also look pissed, while those in Hinata's harem feel scared. Those in neither of the harems look confused.
"Coach Nekomata, what's wrong?"
"Don't worry, Yaku. That is what we are gathering you all to talk about." The coach replies, his harsh gaze softening at his team's mother figure. The door behind the group opens revealing Kageyama in his present form, the bandages previously covering almost every inch of his body are nowhere to be seen. The water dragon that was watching over him in the infirmary follows closely behind him.
"Kageyama! You're okay! I was so worried about you!" Hoshiumi runs up to Kageyama and circles around him. The dragon watches Hoshiumi worry over Kageyama with a fond expression on her face. Kageyama watches him confusingly for a few seconds before placing his hand on the shorter player's head, awkwardly patting it.
"I'm okay, Hoshiumi. There is no need to worry." Kageyama timidly pats the second year, not used to being coddled. He walks slowly to Ukai, who stands up and pats him on the shoulder before leading him to the bleachers.
"It has been brought to my attention, kids, that while the incident yesterday was the first time Kageyama had been hurt physically, it was not the first time he has been harassed." A collection of gasps, along with low growls and breaths hitching sound from the crowd of volleyball players.
The water dragon slides through the crowd, subtly glaring at any of Hinata's harem that she passes. She climbs up the bleachers and wraps herself around Kageyama, bowing her head respectfully to the Coaches.
"They know who they are. However, as per Kageyama's request, we don't know who they are nor will they be pointed out."
"What?! Bakeyama, you can't be serious!!"
"Please, Hinata, I'm fine."
Hinata deflates, knowing it wasn't his place to argue. Kageyama nods to his friend in thanks before turning to the dragon beside him.
"C'mon, Amphitrite, time to sleep." The dragon nods before tapping Kageyama's outstretched arm with her snout, shifting into a tattoo and wrapping herself around his forearm.
"Hinata, Yamaguchi. you two will stay beside Kageyama." The two first years nod at their coach before moving to sit beside the baby crow. Coach Ukai turns to face the rest of the students.
"We still have a few more days, so I don't want to have to do this again. If any of the coaches learn that Kageyama is still being harassed, we will take action. Depending on the severity of the harassment, that person may be banned from the club. Permanently."
Shit! Shit! Shit! Oikawa glares at the blueberry crow. Tobio-chan... This is far from over! Oikawa leaves with his team in a huff as they are dismissed. He relaxes at the warmth of Iwaizumi's hand.
"Calm down. We have to focus on Hinata above everything." Oikawa shudders at his childhood friend's words, remembering the evening before when their precious tangerine screamed at them, hatred seeping through his gaze.
In the gym, Inouka stays beside Yaku, ignoring the harem members of his team.
"Hey, Inuoka? What's going on?" Inuoka looks up (...hold up, wait a minute! *Proceeds to google Nekoma player's heights.* oh. Oops. I meant down) at the libero.
"It's nothing, Yaku-san."
"... Alright. Let me know if you need to vent." The puppy nods his head towards the older yet smaller friend.
Inuoka bounds over to Kageyama and gently brushes against the blueberry's arm.
"Are you sure you're alright, Kageyama?"
"Yes, I am, Inuoka-kun."
The puppy smiles and nods, sitting in front of him since Hinata and Yamaguchi are flanking the young setter's sides. Noya also bounds over, jumping into Kageyama's arms and wrapping himself around the blueberry's torso like a koala.
"Alright, Karasuno!"
The teenagers look over at their coach, walking closer when he signaled and forming a semi-circle in front of Ukai. Yamaguchi and Hinata continue to flank Kageyama, maneuvering themselves to be far from Tsukishima, much to the salty french fry's dismay. Aoba Johsai gathers on the other side of the court.
"Let's get started."
~Time Skip brought to you by Iwazumi the hedgehog~
Kunimi couldn't focus. How could he, seeing Kageyama playing so well, despite being beaten to a pulp merely 3 days ago. He growls in annoyance as Kageyama sees past his decoy play and blocks Iwaizumi.
"Amazing, Yamayama!!" Kunimi freezes in his spot. That nickname. He turns to see Hinata bouncing around Kageyama, spouting out compliments. He scowls, but not at Kageyama. He scowls...
...At Hinata...
His eyes widen in surprise at the realization. What is wrong with me!? He turns away from the duo and walks over to the bench, dazed and confused at his actions. Kindaichi looks at him with worry, but the sloth just shakes his head and takes a drink of his water.
Kunimi looks back over, his gaze in the same direction as before. The sloth's eyes harden as he watches Hinata praise his former best friend. The tangerine jumps into the blueberry's arms happily as they walk off the court. What is this feeling? Why does he feel angry?
His fist tightens around his water bottle, water sputtering out of the top. Kindaichi looks over at him, alarmed. Noticing his sleepy friend staring at something in the distance, Kindaichi follows his friend's gaze, landing on the interaction between Kageyama and Hinata. He nods in "understanding", not realizing he isn't seeing the situation the same way Kunimi is.
