The coaches call a timeout so the players could head to the cafeteria for lunch. Kageyama giggles as he sits between Hinata and Yamaguchi. Ukai and the other coaches seat their teams separately, disappointing most Hinata's harem and Kageyama's harem.
Kageyama munches happily on an onigiri as Yamaguchi skillfully keeps him out of Tsukishima's line of sight. This irritates Tsukishima and he grumbles at  his seat as he can't get closer to the young child. Kageyama happily hums as his team coos at his adorableness. (Except for Tsukishima, because he's very blind)
At the Dateko's table, Aone and Kogane glare at the small blueberry sitting next to the sunshine that stole their hearts. "What are we going to do, Aone?" Kogane groans in frustration as Aone silently shrugs his shoulders. But, they were being thoroughly watched.
Futakuchi glares at the two players with rage. He has been criticizing himself on how blind he has been, to  have let Aone and Kogane bully a fellow player. "Aone! Kogane! Finish up lunch, we leave in 5." He warns them, his anger seeping through his voice as they quickly finish their food.

Kageyama watches his team in awe. They were playing against Aoba Johsai and winning 15-13. He claps as Tanaka spikes the ball onto the other court, gaining Karasuno another point.
"Thanks, little blueberry~" Tanaka smiles and uses the new nickname he and Noya came up with for the youngest. Kageyama smiles before looking over at the other team. He easily recognizes Oikawa, Iwaizumi, Kindaichi, and Kunimi. Although he has been told by his coach to avoid them.
"Hey, mini Kageyama is looking over here." Oikawa turns at Mattsun's statement. Indeed, his former kouhai was watching them intently. However, he feels off at the lack of adoration in the boy's eyes. In middle school, those pretty ocean eyes were full of admiration and warmth when watching him and Iwaizumi. But the eyes watching them now hold no familiar warmth. They are cautious and wary, as though they might attack him. (...Do you even hear yourself, Oikawa? Or have you forgotten that day? I love you. Really, I do. But you are the bad guy currently, so I'm going to be mean.)
Iwaizumi also feels put off by how cold and calculating the younger setter's eyes are. He feels a pang but pushes it away. They barely know each other, what is this feeling? He shakes his head and watches Hinata spike the ball, his heart feeling warm. He ignores the sudden lack of sparks.
Kindaichi growls lowly. Why was the King looking at him like that? He glowers in his head as he glances at the young setter on the other side of the court. Wait... why do I care? The King could stare with those horrible, cautious... admittedly pretty eyes. Wait!! No! Not pretty, not pretty!! Stop all the nonsense, Kindaichi.
Kunimi takes a little longer to notice the cold eyes of his former team mate. They make eye contact and chills run down his spine. Why are his eyes so cold, calculating... wary. Kunimi looks away, but steals many glances at the young setter. Why does his chest hurt?
A few courts away, Dateko and Johzenji are opposing one another. The scoring is 24-10, with Johzenji losing drastically with their captain in such a bad mood and constantly distracted. Dateko is not much better. Aone, their best blocker, and Kogane, their only setter, are also in bad moods and are not syncing well with the team.
Futakuchi seethes, angry at how distracted his team mates are. How could he have let it get this bad? He looks over at Kageyama, who waves excitedly. He gives the young setter a genuine smile and waves back. I'll protect you in any way I can, Kageyama. I promise.

Kageyama walks through the halls of Nekoma towards the gym, a milk carton in his hands. He had left to grab himself some milk. As he walks down the hall, Aone and Kogane sit on a bench. They were taken out of the gym after beating Johzenji to calm down.
"...Hello." Kageyama hesitantly greets them, remembering Hinata's words to be very wary and cautious around the two Dateko players. Kogane grits his teeth before standing up and towering over the baby crow. Feeling unsafe, Kageyama slowly backs away from the Dateko player, only to bump into Aone.
*Back in the Gym where the players are given a break before playing*
"Where is Tobio? He should've been back by now." Sugamama paces back and forth as he glances at the doors, waiting for Karasuno's youngest setter to return. Daichi and Asahi try calming him down, until an ear piercing shriek sounding from the hallway interrupts all conversations. Hinata is the first one out of there, stopping abruptly at the scene in front of him.
Aone and Kogane tower over a bloody Kageyama, their fists clenching. There are platters of blood on them, their clenched fists, and around them. "What are you doing..." The Dateko students flinch at the dangerously calm tone of the tangerine. Footsteps echo through the hall as the other players catch up to Hinata.
"Kageyama!!" Karasuno immediately shove Aone and Kogane away and Inouka leads them to the infirmary. Hinata stays behind, his fists clenching hard. His harem stare in shock at the tangerine. Suddenly, his eerily calm voice breaks the silence.
"Kogane. Aone." They gulp and turn to look at him.
"Oikawa. Iwaizumi. Kyoutani. Yahaba. Kidnaichi. Kunimi." The Aoba Johsai members, who have been snickering quietly in the back, straighten up at their names, fear radiating off of them.
"Tsukishima." The middle blocker's smirk falls as Hinata glowers at him.
"Terushima." The silently snickering Captain shuts up immediately at the sound of his name. Shit... what did he do? (... I can't even with you, Terushima)
"Ushijima. Semi. Shirabu. Goshiki." The players gulp, worry filling them up as their names fall from Hinata's mouth, devoid of all emotion.
"Bokuto. Akaashi." Bokuto deflates at how monotone Hinata says his name. Akaashi sweat drops, scared what he wants
"Sakusa." His body stiffens, memories of the first day flashing in his head.
"Atsumu Miya. Suna." They know immediately they are also in trouble when Hinata uses Atsumu's last name, indicating which twin he wanted, rather than saying his first name like normal.
"Kuroo. Kenma. Inouka. Lev." The cats all shudder and now one realizes that Inouka's name had been said kindly.
Hinata's harem follows the silent sunshine into the gym. Kita, Futakuchi, and Hoshiumi sneak away to the infirmary. The remaining players of the teams gather at the doors, hoping to hear what's happening inside.
*POV switch to Kageyama's harem*
Futakuchi runs down the hall, guilt and fear threatening to swallow him whole. How could he be so stupid!? He saw the boy leave. Why did he think it was a good idea to put those two outside. He runs into the infirmary to see Karasuno sitting along the wall across from the beds. Kageyama occupies one of them, bandages covering his chest, head, legs, and arms.
However, Kageyama is no longer his 12-year-old self. His body is back to normal. Sitting next to him is a beautiful water dragon. The dragon is about the size of a Great Dane, so it takes up a lot of space.

"Oh, hey guys," Sugawara stands up and ushers them in

"Oh, hey guys," Sugawara stands up and ushers them in. "don't mind her. That's Amphirite. She's Kageyama's 'pet.' Not really sure, but she's cool." The dragon bows her head in greeting before turning her attention back to Kageyama. Futakuchi walks over to the sleeping setter and caresses his hair.
"I'm so sorry, Kageyama. I won't let them hurt you again. I promise you that." He whispers into Kageyama's ear.
