11. Baby Barns part one (B.B)

It is late winter in New York city and the avengers are busy getting ready for the annual Christmas party .
You're nine months pregnant with your and Bucky first child your due any day now so things are getting a bit tense.

You're walking outside to get some fresh air , you slowly walk the snow listening to it crunch under your feet . " Are you trying to catch pneumonia? You turn around to see Bucky jogging over to you " say the man who in a tight t shirt and jeans " . He stands in front of you and is a bit out of breath" yeah well I was just on my way to a team meeting and I saw you out here on your own and you shouldn't be so come on " you smile at him as he takes your hand " that still does explain the tight t shirt?" You both walk together back to the compound" yeah well maybe I like to show off my muscle sometimes" You laugh a little .

" Bucky I have three lays on so I'm ok" Bucky scan his id card to open the back door to the compound" that not the point doll you pregnant and it snowy and icy out there you could have fall and really hurt yourself " you roll your eyes as Bucky leans you back inside.

A little while later you're sat in the living room with one hand on the side of your bump you take a small breath in and out just as Natasha walks in " Hey are you alright?" You nod trying not to show that you're in pain "I'm fine just got a bit of cramp" . You try to get up from the sofa" here let me help you" Natasha walk over and help you up , you get a sharp pain in the side of your bump "Ow" Natasha looks at you concerned "this is a cramp is it?" You look at her " please please don't tell Buck ii" . You bend over slightly as you get another pain nat start to rub your back " When did the pains start?" You sit down at the arm of the sofa " this morning I thought they might go " you grab hold of nat arm and squeeze it a bit " honey we really need to get Bucky" . You shake you her "No I don't want to worry him I just need to walk it off " you push your self off the arm of the chair and slowly waddle out of the room.

Later that afternoon the team are busy training up some new recruits you sit on the bench watching Steve walk up and down talk to the new recruit " now it all about teamwork I know some of you done get along but when you out the it a different ball game " . You start to rub the side of your bump again and whisper" sh sh sh not now little one just few more days".

Nat elbow bucky in the arm and nod over towards you Bucky turn his head to look at you then walks over " why don't you go and have a lay down for bit " you shake your head " I'm fine I want to watch you throw some punches" . He sit down next you" I think I give that a miss today " you shift on the bench try to get comfortable you wince in pain then throw your head back a bit " hey what is it? What wrong ? .

You take a deep breath in " nothing I'm fine just cramp" Bucky about to say something when Steve shout him over" Bucky we need you " . He kiss you on the cheek" I will be right back doll" you smile as he jugs one over to Steve.
" Everything alright with Y/N?" Bucky looks over to you then back at Steve " I think so she just got a bit of cramp" .

About haft way though the training session you watch the young redhead girl Alex who is working with Bucky do a fake fall " ouch my ankle" you squint your eyes as you watch Bucky check her over " I think she might have twist your ankle " he looks up at Steve " ok we'll take her to the meds bay" . Bucky help the girl up off the floor" oh my how strong you are " Bucky give a very awkward smile as he walk the girl to the med bay , you go to stand up but getting a massive pain in bump coursing you to bend over and place one hand on the wall " Oh god!" .

Bucky lets go of the girl as he rushes over to you the girl becomes annoyed and jealous " umm excuse me I'm the one pain it's her all she had done is sit on her arse all day ". Natasha rushes past her " well if you were in pain you wouldn't be standing up would".

" That it doll keep breathing " he rubs your back as you groan in pain Bucky looks over to Steve " Im going to take her to the hospital ". You stand up straight" no I'm ok now it was just cramp I'm fine now".

"She has been having pains since this morning " you give Natasha the death stear " That's it then I'm taking her to hospital" you shake you head " I'm not going I'm fine " you start to moan again in pain" .

"Bucky take her we will be fine here just text us if you need anything bringing " Bucky nod as you sit back down on the bench and cry he crouches down he looks worried at you then place his hand on your cheek " I don't want to go in to labour I'm scared Bucky " .

"Oh doll you're not the only one who is scared I am to " you wipe your nose on your sleeve" really?" Bucky rubs his thumb over your cheek to get rid of a tear " yeah I have been scear since the day we found out". While Bucky sits talking to you Alex whispers to one of the other recruits "I bet she is putting it on all to get his attention" the other recruit just roll his eyes then moves away from her .

"Here I got the wheel chair from the med bay" Bucky turned his head to see Sam standing behind him with a wheelchair putting on the brakes he looks back at your " fancy a ride? " You smile and nod Bucky and Steve both help you up you about to sit in the wheelchair when you feel a gush of liquid come down your legs you down then back up at Bucky in pain " Bucky!" .

A few hours later at the hospital Natasha and Steve walk down the corridor trying to find you room " so what did the text say ?" Nat looks at Steve as he stops to look at his phone " umm room 304 need hospital bag left in bedroom asap" . They continue along the corner until they come to your room Steve knock the door is open by bucky " come in did you bring the bag?" . Steve hand Bucky the bag as him and Nat walk in to find you sat up in bed sucking on gas and air " Ah it captain popsicle" you start giggling nat frown then look at Bucky " is she alright?" Bucky places the hospital bag on the end of the bed" yeah she is just high on gas and air .

You start to groan as you feel about contraction coming bucky rubs your back " its alright doll I here " he kisses you forehead as you lay your head back on the pillow " how they said how long it could be?" Steve sits down on the arm of the chair. Bucky shrug his shoulders " no it could be a few hours or probably be in morning" you start to cry Natasha walk over to you and hold your hand and rubs your shoulder " hey it's not that bad your in the best place" .

You shake at her head and sniff " it's not that we going to miss the party and I really want to go" you cry even more Bucky pull you on for a little side hug " oh doll it will probably be boring anyway they normally are" .

A few hours at the compound the Christmas party is full swing food and drink is being passed around
" So we had no news then? " Tony sipped his Champagne and looked over to Sam who shook his head " all Steve said was that she was still in labour probably won't be till morning oh and that NAT and him were on their way back ".

Just Alex comes walking in wearing a tight red cocktail dress she scan the room and frown " your playing a dangerous game your no that " Alex take one look at her friend Clare then walks off in to direction of the bar . " I have a white wine large one thanks barman " the barman roll his eyes then pour her drink and pass it to her .

She takes one sip and scan the room again "hmmm if I was super soldier were would I be ?" She down her dink then walk off looking for Bucky. Tony pointed to Alex who was busy chatting with other agents "she shouldn't be here I said no recruits Sam " turn around to see Alex getting cosy with one of the agents " Good job Bucky not here she would be all over him " tony frown as he put his empty glasses on one of the table next to him " so she the one who fake her injury earlier I think we might have to watch her ."
