I will hold onto your corpse

as I sing you my favorite song

I gently will try to hum

while my voice cracks

I will not mind your decaying flesh

or smell that is vomit inducing

I will sob against your chest

that is filled with cotton

I will trace my fingers along your face

though you won't be able to do it back

I will lay in your casket

and die beside you

as my weight goes down

I shall smile

as my eyes get heavy

I shall shut them

for then, I will rise.

and meet you, in heaven.
