Percy's POV
"No no no!" Leo yelled as I groaned, Piper had beaten us in yet another round of Mario Kart, at least I beat Leo this time.
"Haha! How does it feel to lose five times in a row?" Piper asked, smirking at our pathetic faces. I let out a long, dramatic sigh,
"It feels like we need one more rematch, please!" I put on my baby seal face so that she just couldn't say no. Piper took one look at my face and burst out laughing.
"You're losing your touch Perce, and you said one more rematch for the last four rounds, don't you think-" Piper was cut off by Leo who dropped to his knees and clasped his hands, he started begging Pipes for just one more game.
"Please Beauty Queen! If you win I'll die my hair green, please just one more!" Leo looked like a little kid, but then again he kind of is.
I could tell Piper was just about to cave in when my lovely girlfriend along with the hottest dude at camp walked through the door.
"Bro!" Jason exclaimed, we fist-bumped while Leo exchanged a look with Piper and they burst out laughing. Annabeth rolled her eyes while suppressing a smile. Me and Jason started talking about whether The Little Mermaid or Hercules were better Disney movies, this debate has been going on for days and personally, I think I'm winning. Annabeth cleared her throat very loudly, Jason turned his head to look at her and his eyes widened.
"Oh right! I forgot we came here for a reason, Chiron wants to talk to you, like right now." I frowned slightly, I was really hoping to play one more round of Mario Kart but if Chiron needs to talk I better go. But I swear to the gods if this is another quest I might just have to find Medusa's head and shove it in front of Zeus's face.
"Can you come with me Annie," I whined, she punched me in the arm.
"Do not call me Annie, Seaweed Brain." Then her expression softened but she looked frustrated, "and Chiron said he has to speak to you on your own." She made a face that made me wish I had a phone so I could use it as blackmail.
"Okay see you later Wise Girl," I pouted and dragged myself off the couch, it took quite an effort. I trudged over to the Big House and found Nico sitting with Chiron.
"Yo, Chiron you needed me?" I said and raised an eyebrow in Nico's direction, he only looked slightly offended.
"Yes Percy, please sit down." I sat. Nico and I looked at Chiron expectantly, waiting for him to tell us why we we are here. "I'm going to start by saying this isn't a quest," I sighed in relief, Nico let himself sit more comfortably, he must have been nervous. "However," he continued, "I need a.. favour from you both, you see I have this friend, Dumbledore and he got me out of a tight spot a few years back, I promised if he ever needed something I could help. It's time to repay the favour."
I stared at him blankly, where was he going with this? Why are me and Nico here exactly?
"So what's this got to do with us?" Nico asked, I swear the kid can read my mind. Chiron looked nervous, like he didn't want to ask us to do whatever but he knew he needed to.
"Okay, this may take a moment to explain please don't interrupt. First off I should probably tell you, that the race of witches and wizards exist. Just like demigods, no one would think that it's possible." Then Chiron explained that our two races don't know of each other, the Dumb Old Door dude and Chiron just met by coincidence. Wizards get educated at some school called Hoggywars, weird name right? Anyways our job is to go to a school for FRICKIN' 10 MONTHS, to protect some 15-year-old named Harry Potter. How come no one was ever sent to protect me? Rude.
"Lady Hecate will be blessing you both with the powers of a wizard, but only for one year, the threat that the wizarding world is facing will most likely not be defeated in one year but for reasons unknown to me, Harry needs extra protection this year," Chiron told us, then Nico asked a brilliant question.
"When do we leave?" Chiron looked at Nico then at me,
"Tonight, you might want to say goodbye to Annabeth and Will, I'll explain why you're away so don't worry about that but- Oh! I just remembered the most important thing, under any circumstances, you cannot let the wizards find your true identity, that would result in chaos, maybe even war." Chiron told us this with the most solemn face I've ever seen on the guy. Me and Nico quickly both told Chiron we understood, the last thing we want is another war.
"Oh and Percy," Chiron called right as I was about to stand up, "In order to be in the same year as Harry you need to be 15, so Lady Hecate is kindly going to make you appear 15 while you're gone." I groaned, the last thing I want is to be 15 again, that was a stressful year.
Nico got off the couch and walked away, me closely behind him, I stepped out of the Big House and saw Annabeth and Will, they were waiting for us.
"Well?" Annabeth demands, me and Nico look at each other sheepishly.
"We umm, we have to go away for 10 months, Chiron said he'll tell you two more later, and we go tonight," Nico mutters, Annabeth and Will's eyes both widen and on sync, they both yell, "10 MONTHS!!"
They start to protest, yelling at us, saying theirs no way we are going without them. I silence Annabeth with a kiss, oh how I'm going to miss her.
"Please understand, it's not our fault," I say softly, Annabeth pulls me into a tight hug and whispers,
"I know, I know, I'm just going to miss you, I love you." I wish I could stay, holding onto Annabeth forever but I can't, I pull apart and stare into those stormy grey eyes that I love,
"I love you too Wise Girl, I'll see you soon." With that, I walk away, towards my other friends, when I'm done saying goodbye I go back to to Big House, where I see Lady Hecate talking to Chiron.

That was chapter one, pretty much just an intro, sorry if explaining some stuff took a while.
I forgot to mention, this takes place in Harry's 5th year and after Blood of Olympus. In This story Trials of Apollo is not a thing. Therefore our amazing person that dies does not die Hooray!
