Secret World - Demigods at Hogwarts (DISCONTINUED)

Chapter 3

Harry's POV

Ron walked back into our bedroom, he had just been about to go downstairs and ask when dinner would be ready. That kid is always hungry. 

Hermione, Ginny, Fred, George, Ron and I were all sitting in mine and Ron's room. We were playing a very intense game of exploding snap. 

"Guys guess what!" Ron exclaimed, his eyes were wide, something must have happened.

"What is it, Ronald?" Ginny asked in a bored voice, forever fed up with her brother. Ron rolled his eyes at Ginny and then turned so he was mainly facing me and Hermione.

"Apparently we're getting transfer students from America! They're living here until the start of term. I just saw them, Mum was bringing them to their room. The one guy, I think his name was Nico, looks really sketchy. Like Death Eater sketchy." Ron says all in one breath.

I'm extremely surprised, transfer students? Since when does Hogwarts do that? I glance around, Ginny no longer looks bored, Hermione's eyes are wide with interest and Fred and George are smirking. I don't even want to know what they are thinking. And so, abandoning our game of exploding snap we all simultaneously agree to find these new kids. Gosh, that sounds childish, 'new kids.'

We find their room and file in, I have to agree with Ron the kid on the farthest bed definitely looks sketchy, he also just gives off a deathly aura. Both kids look our age and have messy black hair, though the emo-looking kid's is considerably longer. 

Nico, (I think that's what Ron called him) is wearing ripped-up black jeans and a black shirt with a skull on it. He also wore an aviator's jacket and a skull ring. His skin was as pale as a ghost and his eyes seemed to be an endless abyss giving him an even creepier effect. This guy could definitely be a death eater.

The other kid however looked quite a bit more charming. He was tall and muscular, he had sea-green eyes and just wore jeans and a blue t-shirt. He seemed very confident and he radiated power, I'm not sure if I should trust him either, especially if he is powerful and friends with that Nico kid.

"Oh um hello," Sea Green Eyes says awkwardly. I decided we should probably all introduce ourselves so I go first. Soon everyone has introduced themselves and I found out the boy's names are Nico di Angelo and Percy Jackson. 

"So, what house do you think you'll be in?" Fred asks. Nico sends Percy a questioning look. Do they know nothing about Hogwarts?

"House..?" Percy asks slowly, "what do you mean by house?"

"Blimey, you don't know what the Hogwarts houses are?" Ron says, exasperated and shaking his head. 

"Ron, they are from America why would they know what the houses are," Hermione demanded, then she proceeded to explain to the boys how the house system works, I don't think they were listening. I bet they'll be Slytherin.

After that we kind of just left, they didn't seem in the mood for a conversation, especially di Angelo. The six of us went back to my room and we finished our game of exploding snap, Ginny won which was totally unfair.

About an hour later Mrs. Weasley called us down for dinner, Ron leaped up and sprinted downstairs, typical. When we ate I noticed that di Angelo hardly ate anything while Jackson was pretty much another Ron, maybe even worse. Over dinner, I came to the conclusion that I will definitely be keeping an eye on these boys.

After all the dishes were cleaned up Dumbledore came through the door. I was hoping he wanted to talk to me, maybe even congratulate me for getting off my hearing with no charges. I wish he would at least acknowledge me but no, instead he asks to talk with Jackson and di Angelo which pisses me off since he hasn't said a word to me since my hearing.  

Nico's POV

When Dumbydore, or maybe it's Dumbledore, walked in I felt relieved. He's the only wizard that knows me and Percy are demigods, we need to talk. 

He leads us into the sitting room and plops himself into a maroon armchair. A small cloud of dust goes up as the old man sits.

"So, this might be quite a shock to you?" Dumbydore says in an ever so-calm voice.

"You can say that again," I mutter under my breath, the old man chuckles.

"Well, I wish I could explain everything about our secret world to you but I'm afraid I haven't got the time for that. So I will quickly explain what you must do through the year." He says. 

I keep my eyes glued to his face, waiting for him to go on.

"Your job this year is to protect Harry Potter, who I believe you met this afternoon. Harry will always be in danger while Voldemort is alive but I think I will only need your help for one year. You see even if Voldemort is not defeated by the end of the year, our large threat should be controlled. I think there is a chance that Harry may get possessed this year, which is why you two need to protect him. Don't worry, I only ask for your help for one year. Do you understand?" Dumbydore says in an even tone that makes me want to throttle him. I wish Will were here, he would grab onto my hand right now and hug me. I miss him.

"Yes, we understand," Percy answers, looking at me pointedly, I nod my head in agreement.

"Excellent!" Dumbydore exclaims, "I must get going now," and with that, he swiftly walks out the door, without even a backward glance.
