Sam and Tucker blinked at the question. "I'm sorry. What?"
Tucker took another bite of his burger. "Is this another part of your life as a game thing?"
"Yeah..." He dragged his status screen in front of him. "Are you sure you're not seeing any windows?"
Sam shook her head. "Nope. You're just waving your hand."
Danny sighed. "I thought so. For starters, I have a status page showing my Health Points and Energy Points. Those seem self-explanatory, and I'd rather not think about what happens if my HP gets to zero."
The two paled at the possibility.
"Maybe you have extra lives," hoped Tucker.
"If I did, I haven't been told. I was already riding the razor's edge with the portal incident, and I won't be testing that soon."
Seeing Danny hurt like that was ingrained in the two friends' memories.
"It has my Name, Race, Occupation, and Level."
The girl blinked. "I think I get it. Still, did it give you an occupation?
"What did you get?" asked Tucker. "Dude, if this is true, you're living every geek's dream! To level up in real life."
"It doesn't feel like it. Well, maybe. My occupation is... The Gamer." Danny put a hand over his face in exasperation. "Folk Hero In Training."
Sam and Tucker had to stifle a laugh at how on the nose those descriptions were.
"I didn't pick them out," Danny groaned.
Sam huffed. "I was expecting it to say you were a Hero, but then again, being in training makes sense."
Danny pinched the bridge of his nose. "Protecting Amity isn't easy."
"Never said it was."
Tucker shrugged. "You and I spent so many late nights gaming."
Danny rolled his eyes. "I know. The occupation doesn't tell me much, but I'm pretty sure it's related to two of my listed skills: Gamer's Body and Gamer's Mind."
"You have character skills, too?!" exclaimed Tucker, much to the annoyance of others in the restaurant. "What do they do?"
"Keep it down, Tuck, and yeah. I do."
Sam asked, "So what did you say about strength and stuff?"
"I have these stats that I can increase: Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma."
Tucker smirked. "Those are character stats. Some of them are from video games I played before."
Sam nodded. "I mean, Strength should be obvious. If you increase it, you should get stronger, at least physically."
Tucker squeezed his bicep. "Maybe if you get it high enough, you can bench a car without going ghost."
Danny rolled his eyes. "I'm at 15. Not sure what that's supposed to equal to." 'Then again, my Ghost Form gives a boost in strength.'
Sam took out a pen and paper from her bag, writing some of this down for later. "Dexterity sounds like it's related to speed."
Tucker blinked. "Wait. Is that how you got ahead while on track? By increasing your dex stat? I thought you were channeling ghost energy into your legs."
Danny shook his head. "No, I didn't. It was still 15 when I found it. I used a Dash skill."
Before Tucker could ask more, Sam moved on. "Fitting What about Constitution? I know the word, but I'm pretty sure it's not about the one from history class."
