Through thick and thin, there they remained.
One was naïve, simple, but with so much to give.
The other, rather impatient, complicated, yet had unlimited love to giveaway. They met rather young, quite young you see.
One was a heartbreaker, the other was heartbroken.
On multiple occasions, they would notice each other but shake the tiny feeling away.
He rather cage his heart from the pain, she rather have fun than be fully committed. But one day, the tiny feeling grew stronger in their chests.
The atmosphere became intense with fate's pressure, the winds expanded in such altitude that only they could understand. He wanted her, she wanted him.
She was willing to sacrifice her self-indulgence for this feeling she never truly experienced.
He set aside his vigilance, pondering that maybe good things come to those who wait. They took each other's hands, pulled each other close and was lost in the epiphany of this unraveling love they so long needed.
Too many times have they came close to ending it all.
She fell into rehab of her own pleasure, he suffered in his own self-loathing.
However, that tiny feeling they ignored in the early beginning, pushed aside the obstacles that came between them. Here they are now, 40 years in time.
For every emotion, for every thought,
Nothing changed their minds about one another.
