Amelia
The wedding is in one week. Both of our bags are packed to the destination of the wedding. It's a bright sunny afternoon, where Julian is placing our bags into the garage while I hold both of our suits and lie them in the backseat. I wait for Julian to arrive at the driver seats as he packs the trunk of the car and shuts it in front of him.
"You ready to get this party started...babe."
"Yes, let's get it started."
The drive from our place to the venue was not more than an hour's drive. When the car entered the gates of the hotel, I got extremely lost in my surroundings, on the right there was a massive garden and a small area for a fireplace, on the left was an empty field and in the centre stood a massive water fountain that went extremely perfect with the hotel premises.
Julian halted his car and I got off too to help in carrying everything. The butler who stood there was allowed by Julian to park his car. Julian's empty hand held mine as our bags and suits hung on the other hands.
The moment Julian and I step into the reception area, Julian is welcomed by sister and his husband also my ex-boyfriend. While Julian embraced his sister, I shook hands with Gabriel and congratulated him.
"Hey Amelia." Jane followed to hug me and I congratulated her too."Oh my goodness, can I say how pretty you are? I love your outfit. It must be lucky for Julian to have such a beautiful girlfriend. How's he treating you?"
"I must say Jane, your brother is one of a kind. He's the finest boyfriend I've ever loved." I smile at Julian who is clearly shy about the compliments.
"Well, give me these bags. I am guessing you must have had a tiring drive, especially Julian. Here are your keys. After freshening up, come down for dinner, we'd love to have you." Jane smiles at me and hands the keys and walks into a room with her fiancé.
"Can I tell you something, Julian?" Julian looks at me as we both enter the elevator. "I meant that compliment. It isn't fake. You are a good fake boyfriend and maybe one day you'll be a good boyfriend too. Your girlfriend will be definitely lucky to have you."
"You're saying you're not lucky to have me?" Julian chuckles.
"I mean I am lucky to have you but I am not your girlfriend."
"Then would you like to be one?" Julian doesn't hesitate. He is so serious that our bodies are touching each other, he's staring into my soul like he wants me. He wants me to be his girlfriend and it's not even day one.
The tension between us is torn just as the elevator dings to our floor and in front of us is-
"Mom?"
"Amelia?" my mother gasps. "What a lovely surprise?! What are you doing here and that even the neighbor?"
Oh god! This is fucked up.
Julian kisses me on the forehead and tells me that he is going into the room and will wait for me. The moment Julian is gone from the hallway, I am speechless and staring at my mother,
"Are the two of you into each other or something?"
"Yes mom, we are dating. Are you happy?"
"He looks quite handsome so yes I am happy but what are you doing here with him?"
"It's his sister's marriage so I have been invited. I'd ask the same about you, mom."
"Gabriel is getting married. Even if y'all broke up, he begged us to come for the marriage and I thought ever since you've been missing, I might as well even find you here and here you are in front of my eyes."
My mom clearly sees that I'm in a hurry and lets me know that she wants to sit beside me at the dining table which I won't let happen since she'll be talking about Julian Or about me to Julian which is too embarrassing to witness.
I knock on the door but the door next to unlock showing my dad. I bang on the door gently and Julian opens the door as I barge in quickly.
"You looks like you'd need some water after all that talking." says, Julian handing me a small bottle of water as I take off my heels.
"I'm heading down for a call, let me know of you need anything okay?" He plants a kiss on my forehead."And yes get used to these kisses okay, they'll keep coming when people are around us." he leaves the room after winking at me. I smile at him and the door that stood between us.
This side of Julian almost feels real than him faking it and I like it so much. Although, I might see a problem coming through... I may have feelings for Julian after all he's done for me, given me a place to stay, helped me escape my parents, and then this.
I hoped into the shower and cleaned every part of my body until I saw the glow in my face for the dinner.
I wrapped myself in a towel and quietly hopped out to apply some makeup.
Hopping back in bathroom, I wore a dress but my hands were unable to reach the zipper. I walked to the living room mirror to watch myself zip it but my hands couldn't reach the zipper easily as they hid themselves in the strands of my hair.
That's when I felt warm hands coming in contact with my back, not realizing Julian pulled up the zipper of my dress while my face was practically plastered over his chest where I could hear his quickened heartbeats.
Julian was wearing a peach top with blue and green designs with a pair of light brown jeans while I wore a whitish pink dress with small flowers and vines.
I wore my shoes and we walked off the room. As we got off the elevator and headed to the dining room, my hands snaked around Julian's arm. Julian removed my hand from his arm and entangled his fingers with mine, giving me a small smile and I gave him the same.
