Chapter 1: Awakening

In the midst of a serene forest, where the tranquility of nature's embrace is disturbed only by the rustle of leaves and the whisper of the wind, a girl lay lifeless on the ground. Her ragged clothes told a story of hardship, as if she hadn't known the comfort of a shower for days. Brush marks marred her face and hands, evidence of a struggle for survival against unseen foes.

Slowly, almost hesitantly, she opened her eyes, taking in her surroundings with a mix of confusion and determination. With a weak resolve, she pushed herself up from the ground, her movements betraying the weariness that clung to her like a shadow. Every step she took into the depths of the woods seemed to echo a silent determination, a silent promise to herself.

Lychee;
Who I am,where am from,and how I got here doesn't matter, not now at least. What matters is how I survived and how I continue to survive. No, I'm not dead, nor do zombies roam these woods,It's not the end of the world either at least not yet.

Lychee weak body gave up on her with just few steps she collapsed to the ground, her eyes slowly began to close she tried forcing it open but she couldn't and she went unconscious.

Lychee;
How? How did it all start?

The memories flooded back, transporting her to a time long past.

She was on a bus filled with students, five teachers seated at the front. Lychee sat right behind them, her head leaning against the window. Earpieces were snug in her ears, and her eyes were closed as she smiled, lost in the soothing sound of music.

Three girls approached her: Nala, Aisha, and Sana. Nala reached out and yanked the earpiece from lychee's ear.

"What are you doing?" Nala demanded.

Lychee looked at her nervously. "I was just listening to music."

"You were what?" Nala snapped. "Would you speak clearly? What were you doing?"

"I was just listening to music. I didn't mean to disturb you," Lychee repeated, her voice trembling.

"Oh, you didn't mean to disturb me and you were smiling like today was your wedding day. Who the hell told you that you could smile like that, Leach? I still can't believe your so called mother named you Lychee. Ow I guess she was so busy with her clients she didn't have time to give you a good name so she named you after a fruit nobody knows in this country."

"I'm really sorry nala" Lychee mumbled, tears welling up in her eyes.

"Oh, please stop with your puppy whining, try to be a big girl big girls don't cry, okay?" Nala taunted.

A boy walked up to them. Stephen gently pulled Nala away.

"It's enough nala let her be" Stephen tried to break the bullying

"Who are you to stop me huh? Are you her superman or joker?" Nala sneered.

"Am non, but the teachers are looking," Stephen replied calmly.

"Oh, please. Even those teachers don't like her. None of them are reacting, see they are pretending not to know what's happening even though they can clearly hear us. Nobody is standing up for her because everyone here knows her bad deeds," Nala retorted.

"I still think you shouldn't ruin your holiday because of her," Stephen said.

"That's true. I would hate to ruining my holiday because of that Leach," Nala conceded before walking back to her seat.

Lychee began to shed fat tears. She put her earpiece back in and buried her head down, trying to escape the world around her.

Lychee opened her eyes, the painful memory leaving a bitter taste in her mouth. She sighed, wondering how everything had spiraled from that moment, she sits up and looks around it was dark and scary in the woods but no fear wad shown in her face she dusted herself up and continued her journey.

LYCHEE;
As you now know my name is lychee and am lost,not just me we are all lost and for all I know I might be the only surviver. What is hunting me? I don't know all I can tell you is thier are people deep in this woods and they are not nice.
