"I lost my wife and my son seems to grow more distant every day" I said, Y/n turned back to me
"I'm sorry about your wife, losing someone you love is never easy" Y/n said" But Adrien loves you,a boy needs his father."
"What do you know about that?" I asked
"I never knew my father" Y/n said " It wasn't easy growing up with only one parent, but you being there for Adrien makes up for the loss of his mother"
"Raising a child on your own isn't easy " I said sitting down,Y/n walked over and sat beside me.

"That's true but I'm sure the bond between you two has gotten stronger?" Y/n said
"No it hasn't " I said" Ever since Emily disappeared, Adrien and I don't always see eye to eye. I kept him home from school for a long time,and he only had Chloe as a friend"
"What about time together?" Y/n asked
"We don't really have time together, I'm working a lot and Adrien has his schedule" I said
"Surely you can make time for your son,even if it's just once a week to begin with. It's better than nothing " Y/n said
"You speak with a lot of experience Y/n " I said
"It's what my mum and I did when I was a teenager. It felt like we were growing apart,until we had our monthly library trips. It didn't seem like much but that trip soon became my favourite day of the month. And then it became a weekly thing" Y/n said.

"But what would me and Adrien have in common?" I asked her
"Find something he likes to do and do it with him" Y/n suggested" Like cooking together or playing video games"
"I think cooking might be more my thing,I don't care for video games" I said

"Sure you do" I said,Gabriel looked unamused by my teasing" Ok Mr fancy pants,turn on my console then?"
