Third Person: Midori

Midori has been banned from entering the Info Club after she pissed off Info-chan for walking into the club and almost allowing Kanokogi-Sensei to come in and drag them into one of the classrooms as per the lockdown drill after Ayano and that new kid got into a fight on the roof, or at least that was what Info told her after she passed out and forgot everything. What was Midori supposed to do?

Walk into a class with her head bleeding because her bestie Yan-chan pushed her off the roof after she made fun of the lovesick girl's disguise? No, of course not, what kind of weirdo walked into a classroom bloody?

Right, there was always a player who did that huh? Being bloody in a classroom was also a popular thumbnail for let's play videos too if Midori's memory served her right.

Anyways, now Sunhiー Info-chan's name is sooo cute, Midori entirely agrees with Info's parents, she totally was a princess, Midori was so blessed to know the girl's given name AND be allowed to use it, she totally loved this reincarnation. Ugh, Info would totally kill her if she found out that Midori was constantly using her name in her head and also gushing over how cute it wasー, the nerd, won't allow her to go back to school until she made sure that whoever happened to see Midori getting pushed off or landing was brainwashed into forgetting, the perks of having a beloved friend who knew all too well about Midori's near immortality and was willing to help keep it a secret even if their other friend has unintentionally developed a habit of accidentally killing her.

Man, Midori still wonders how that happened. Earlier in the year, just a little over a month ago, she had found an interesting girl, who felt so familiar to her, did Midori know her at the time? Never has she seen the girl before that entrance ceremony, but somewhere deep down in her body, deeper than her physical heart, the very heart of her soul she knew this girl, or at least wanted to get close to her. The blogger, shitposter was the more appropriate term but Midori thought blogger sounded more sophisticated, was captivated by this blank beauty. From the dullness of her black hair to the emotionless bored air that she carried with her while gracing the world, Midori just wanted to know her, so when she noticed the girl leave the entrance ceremony early, she went ahead and followed her.

And her efforts were not for nothing! She got her Senpai's name: Ayano Aishi, a second year who had even offered to give Midori a tour, but it was weird. Ayano-senpai smiled so happily and laughed with a flutter after every excited stammer Midori let out. It was amazing, that bubbly feeling you get when you socialize with bright and excited people, but, yet Midori knew it was fake, it wasn't forced, it wasn't like Ayano-Senpai was pretending to like her, but it was something she felt from deep in her soul, the fakeness. But what did Midori know? She wasn't particularly a social butterfly; she didn't normally go out of her way to seek people out to socialize. Midori was too nervous to be true to herself, her phone was her safe place from this world of reality, and she had more book and anime smarts than she did street smarts. Despite studying hard and working hard even when people found her curious nature and constant questioning annoying, Midori had no ambition for anything in life nor will besides the fictional worlds she immerses herself in, even she knew that she wouldn't accomplish anything if she remained the way she is, with no purpose nor will. Midori didn't even know herself; no amount of soul searching helped her discover who she was as a person or what she loved, all it did was make her realize that what she experienced with feelings, and such was dull and foreign to what she's seen and heard about. She knew what she didn't dislike, she knew what she liked, she was all too familiar with feeling neutral towards somethingー hell, she wasn't even sure if she liked the things she did, did she watch anime and play games purely to escape reality, did she like it, or a mixture of the two?
