Setting the Deal

'You are the Demon Lord, Sir Anos Voldigoad. What are you doing here?'

"Indeed, I am." he said. "It was my first day of demon academy and I was on my way when I suddenly felt a permanent soul binding contract. So I have to come and see who is the one with whom I am permanently bonded forever, which will exist even after eternity as long as our souls exist. Then Anos said, "Yes. And you are the one who made the contract. I am honored to meet you. I would like to have a talk with you. It's not every day I meet someone like you."

"Of course. You can come when you are free. Just think about it and we will meet. So I guess my work here is done." God replied.

'Wait! I just want to ask for a favor. Can you also just change the pattern of my mangekyo to a sun in left eye and a moon in right eye please?' I requested.

After that, Anos said, "Well, I accept your friendship."

With a silent nod, the clone took off. I took a deep breath and headed towards the Uchiha district entrance, collapsing onto a nearby stone. Tears welled up in my eyes, a strange mix of relief and dread washing over me.

Perhaps, I had altered the course of events in another reality. Before, Anos Voldigoad might have been a top five contender, but now, fueled by the knowledge of stronger beings, he could potentially become number one. Training for a Demon Lord was unheard of, and who knew what power he might unlock with my blood and the Mangekyo design.

What if others came after me? A shiver ran down my spine.

'Meh,' I thought, forcing a smile. 'Anos can handle it. I really hope so.'

The optimistic thought did little to quell the unease churning in my gut. Just then, the familiar figures of the Hokage, several ANBU, Jonin, Chunin, and even Danzo emerged from the distance.

The Hokage and a few ANBU approached me directly, while Danzo lurked in the shadows, his eyes narrowed in scrutiny.

I met the Hokage's gaze, a heavy weight settling on my shoulders. "So you came," I croaked, my voice hoarse. "But you're too late. Everything is over."

An ANBU, unable to contain his frustration, blurted out, "What happened?!"
