❈ The next day, Percy found himself standing in the Hephaestus cabin with Helena, Tyson, Annabeth, and the cabins head counsellor, Charles Beckendorf. He was hoping for a quiet day with Helena, but instead, here he was trying and failing to keep up with the ongoing argument between his girlfriend, the son of Hephaestus and daughter of Athena.
"The calculations for something of that size are completely hypothe-" Beckendorf started only to be cut off by Annabeth.
"Calculations done correctly aren't hypothetical!" Annabeth reasoned.
"Calculations are all inherently hypothetical, Annabeth!" Helena argued. "Even if they weren't, creating something like that is completely against the fundamental laws of physics! Do you need me to give you a crash course on physics, Annabeth?"
"I'm the daughter of the Goddess of Wisdom! I don't need a crash course in Physics, Helena!"
"Daughter of Wisdom or not, it's completely impossible -"
"Okay, enough!" Percy shouted.
Annabeth straightened up and pursed her lips. "Something to add, Percy?"
Percy froze, blinking rapidly. "Uh.."
"No, no, if you have an opinion on the conversation, please share. Who do you agree with?"
Percy glanced at Helena and Beckendorf, who were looking at each other, trying not to laugh. "I agree with Lena."
Beckendorf snorted, and Lena looked at him, raising an eyebrow, amusement shining in her eyes.
"You agree with me?" She asked, Percy nodded. "Do you have any idea what you're agreeing with, pretty boy."
"I have no fucking clue what you were talking about about." Percy said. "But you're always right so..."
That did it. Beckendorf broke out laughing, "Man you're whipped!"
"Oh leave him alone." Helena said, with a grin on her face as she walked over to Percy giving him a light kiss on the cheek. "Can you blame him? Im a fucking genius and he knows it."
Annabeth snorted. "Yeah, whatever. I gotta go talk to Clarisse. I'll see you at training later."

Helena had been claimed by her father and in his usual ever dramatic flare he gave her his full blessing; So That afternoon when her cabin had training alongside the Athena cabin and she felt like she had something to prove. And prove it she did.
After watching Helena win all of her fights against the Athena cabin, Clarisse had decided for Helena to fight their cabin. Five of them. Which didn't seem very fair to Helena but she wasn't about to back down. Each of her siblings had taken different positions in the arena, equipped with their favourite weapons. Helena had seen them fight so she knew what to expect but that didn't mean this was going to be easy.
Helena flipped her sword in her hand. No one knew that her weapon, Ruby, wasn't just a sword. She smirked. She had an advantage. She was going to win. She hated failure more than anything.
She stood in the middle of the arena taking note of her brother, Mark who was positioned higher than everyone else because he preferred bows and long distance fighting. Clarisse had her spear and two more of her siblings, Elizabeth and Jonathan were standing around her, both wielding swords. She had to deal with Clarisse first. The arena was silent. Helena took in a deep breath and shifted her foot into position and the battle began.
