The Devil in Tails

I'm sorry for skipping Home Sweet Home, I just couldn't get it out.

A/N (Alternate name): A doppelganger version of Y/N built by Nine in the new Yoke space, they have mostly the same appearance as Y/N but with a metal plate detached from their right eye, reveling their eye socket and have a soft floofy mechanical tail. They have a sharp metal right arm resembling a sword. Their eyes are unspecified along with their metal plates. They were betrayed by Nine and switched to Sonics side, but after having a chip put in the back of their head, they serve Nine again before having the chip taken out again. A/N has been seriously modified, now able to spin dash and move almost as fast as Sonic.

F/N (Feral Name)- A doppelganger version of Y/N from Boscage. They are what appears to be an anthropomorphic fox made out of roots, leaves, grass and vines. Their right arm is in the form of a spear. F/N's attire consists of a simple tunic made out of woven vines and leaves, stitched together with delicate flower petals. They wear a fiber belt around their waist, in which they carry various tools and trinkets. Their feet are protected by intricately woven boots made out of reeds and twigs. F/N has a personality that is different from Y/Ns in many ways, easily excitable and overly friendly. They approach situations with a sense of curiosity and wonder, eager to explore and learn about their surroundings. F/N is known for their infectious enthusiasm, always looking for new ways to connect with others and make friends. They have a natural warmth and charm that draws others to them, and their kind-hearted nature shines through in everything they do. Seemed to be close friends with Mangey. 

P/N (Pirate name): A doppelganger version of Y/N built by Sails from Noplace, they have mostly the same appearance as Y/N, but they wear ankle high leather boots, a bandana on their head and a cutlass is taped to their right arm. They are loyal to the crew and are mainly in charge of the crow's nest. They talk in a robot pirate voice. Most emotional out of Y/N's doppelgangers.

Sonic grunted before standing on the small floating platform above the ground as Nine looked down at his destroyed Grim Alpha's.

Nine! We both dreamed of a better place, a better way of life. But your world is falling apart. Sonic says trying to walk over, platforms appearing from his feet as he walks.

"A small sacrifice which I'll fix soon once I have your energy." Nine says coldly looking at Sonic.

Nine yells before releasing seven beams from all his mechanical tails with his two fluffy tails keeping him in the air.

Knux watches from below as Sonic gets blasted away before looking at the others who are handling the Grim Robots, Dread slashes two Grim Sonic before throwing a third one with in turn is kicked by A/N.

"Captain, lead this group! I've got places to be." Knux says before looking at A/N. "A/N how's a little payback on Nine sound?"

A/N says nothing but a faint smile crosses their face before the two take off toward the crystal castle.

As Nine's beams of energy rained down on Sonic, the blue hedgehog expertly dodged each blast, his platforms appearing and disappearing beneath his feet as he moved. The relentless barrage of energy seemed to only fuel Nine's anger, and his eyes flashed with an intense red light.

Sonic finally landed back on the crystal floor, his chest heaving with exertion. As he caught his breath, his eyes locked onto Knux and A/N, who were scaling the crystal wall behind Nine's flying form. The two doppelgangers were moving swiftly, their movements fluid and calculated.

Sonic's eyes narrowed as he took a step forward, his determination growing with each passing moment. "This is gonna hurt me a lot more than it's gonna hurt you," he declared, his voice firm and resolute.

Nine's response was a mixture of confusion and anger. "What?"

Knux leapt forward, his fist flying toward Nine. The punch connected with a loud crack, sending Nine stumbling backward. A/N followed up the attack, with a swift kick, they sent Nine crashing to the floor.

Knux and A/N landed on the platform.

"I've been waiting a long time for this, traitor." Knux says as he moves his arm's in circle motions before extending his fist.

"Indeed." A/N adds punching their fist into their palm.

Nine stumbles to his feet as a Grim Knuckles, a Grim Sonic and a Grim Y/N jump onto the platform. "Destroy the two and bring me Sonic. "Nine takes to the sky with his twin fluffy tails. "I need his energy."

Knux yells before running in with A/N following. Knux jumps in the air throwing a punch but both of their fists collide sending them both back, Sonic jumps off the platform grabbing Knux, spinning him around and throwing him back onto the platform who rams straight into the Grim Knuckles on top of A/N. 

As the battle raged on, A/N's eyes locked onto the Grim Y/N, their mechanical arm snaking out to grab the staff still held by the robot. With a swift motion, A/N tossed the Grim Y/N off the platform, sending it plummeting to the ground below. 

Nine tries to fire prism energy blasts at A/N and Knux but Sonic jumps in shielding his allies with a platform, Knux grabs the Grim Sonic and throws it into Grim Knuckles 

The three get back to back just as the two robots get either side of them launching at them with a kick and a punch but the three duck down making the two robots collide, Sonic spin dashes into the Grim Sonic as Knux kicks the Grim Knuckles over to A/N who slashes it. 

Nine looks distressed. "No! I Have to have that energy!" his mechanical tails begin absorbing the prism energy spire behind him, the shield around the place turning on and off rapidly as more strain is being put on the Prism. He yells before firing seven beams at the three making Sonic go in front of them and using a platform shield to protect them.

Nine looks like he's struggling with all the energy as he falls to the floor with a splat. Sonic looks concerned but Knux and A/N run towards Nine ready to finish him once and for all. 

Nine looks up before swiftly getting up and putting an energy shield around him as A/N slashes at it and Knuz rapidly punches it, the shield cracks with each slash and punch making Sonic look worried as the Grim's bubble begins shrinking. 

A/N reels back their sword arm ready to pierce the shield but Sonic runs in front of the two. "Guys stop! Look!" He says as he gestures toward the rips in reality in the sky. "Well lose everything. I gotta get through to him."

Nine snarls with anger before sending a shockwave sending everyone flying. Multiple Grim Sonics land by Nine. "It doesn't have to end like this Sonic. I just need your energy." 

The Grim Sonic's begin stepping forward, the Alpha Grim Sonic flips onto the platform joining it's clones. 

Nine looks with a smile. "Take them down."

The Grim Sonic's step forward even more.

Suddenly Shadow spin dashes up the castle. "We are not finished!" He comes down with a spin dash right onto the Alpha Grim Sonic . 

The smoke clears revealing all the Grim Sonic's gone and Shadow in front of the three. 

"No! How?" Nine exclaims.

Shadow slowly looks up. "I am the ultimate life form. 

"Modest too." Sonic cuts in.

Surrender Nine. You are outnumbered." A/N says getting ready.

Nine yells before absorbing prism energy again sending lightning at the four, immobilizing Shadow and Knux and short circuiting A/N but Sonic is protecting himself with a shield as the bubble shrinks rapidly. 

"He's not gonna stop." Sonic quickly lets go off the plat form shield and spin dashes straight towards Nine, tackling them both down the hole where the energy is at.

Shadow and Knux are now free from the electricity and A/N reboots immediately.
