Umbrella Boy

[Hana's POV]

Time sure flies quickly. It feels like I'm still standing by the gate and taking deep breaths before starting my first day at this high school.

And it's already the second year now. High school life is quite fun with cool friends, good teachers and of course, my popular boyfriend of 3 months.

Yeah, I've been dating The Lee Heeseung since December last year. Dating him is kind of amazing, but it sure comes with lots of hate from his fangirls.

He's like a perfect guy. He's now the student council president too. He flirts with everyone, making girls fall for him within a minute, including me.

He has had countless girlfriends, and exchanged millions of kisses, the first one being in middle school. He dates girls and ends up cheating on them not long after.

A total red flag, but I'm colourblind anyways. He's my first boyfriend, and since I've been saving my first kiss for my special person all this time, I'm taking all the time I have in this world to give Heeseung a kiss.

It's been 3 months, yet I've not let him steal my first. Quite sad, I know. But still, it's quite special to me.

Setting my boyfriend aside, I've been scoring good grades, thus earning the Teachers Favourite title from my schoolmates.

But I sometimes get in trouble, I find myself involved in fights where the other person ends up bruised all over. You can already guess, I've got anger issues, a whole lot.

It's usually the fangirls, or the bullies. But I'm not the one getting bullied, it's Sunghoon... The quiet boy I've been observing since first year.

Something about him always irks me. I don't know why. But from the first day I met him, he's been on my mind.

Maybe because of the words he said when he lent me his umbrella while it was pouring torrentially. "I can't share the umbrella with you. You're perfect, and I'm a loser. So just take it."

I still remember it clearly, how he smiled when I finally accepted his umbrella and how he ran away, getting all drenched in the rain but still stopping midway to take a glance back at me while flashing a smile.

Heeseung was dating some other girl back then, I don't quite remember her name. He's had so many already in high school that I don't even bother asking.

Today's the day Heeseung was elected. As I'm walking towards his class to congratulate him, I see the usual scene. Sunghoon is getting bullied once again.

These people, I don't know how they enjoy hurting an innocent guy. I mean, what has he done to them to deserve this?

[Author's POV]

"Stop, you motherf*ckers!" Hana yells at Eunjae, who stops dead in his tracks. "Crap, she's here!" Eunjae gulps as he steps away from Sunghoon, remembering the time Hana beat the shit out of him for kicking her backpack.

Sunghoon just looks at Hana with a slight smile as he sits up straight, slightly wincing. Hana walks ahead to start a fight with Eunjae, but pauses when she sees Heeseung staring at her from afar.

Heeseung shakes his head slightly, indicating that he would be disappointed if she created a ruckus. Hana sighs as she glares at Eunjae who gulps and looks away.

She then goes to Sunghoon and helps him up before dragging him out of the corridor. Sunghoon just let's her drag him along, knowing full well she's taking him to the infirmary.

Everyone resumes what they were doing while Heeseung just see's Hana and Sunghoon disappear. Yet, he doesn't bother following them and walks away with his friends.
