Face reveal

Hana drags Sunghoon inside the infirmary and upon seeing that the nurse is absent, decides to treat him herself.

She makes him sit on the bed and walks over to the cabinet to get the first aid kit.

Sunghoon's gaze has been on Hana ever since he saw her in the hallway. He just stares at her.

[Sunghoon's POV]

She's the only one who stands up for me... She's the only one who cares... And yet I can't have her for myself...

No, I'm dreaming about things I can never have. Hana belongs to Heeseung seonbae. A loser like me doesn't deserve a perfect girl like Hana. Yet I sometimes wish she would be mine...

[Author's POV]

Hana gets the kit and walks towards Sunghoon. She sets the kit beside him and opens it. She can feel his gaze fixed on her.

"Will you ever rebel against them?" She finally speaks up as she looks at him in the eye.

Sunghoon quickly breaks the eye contact as he feels flustered, "I... Um..." His shoulders droop as he lowers his head.

Hana sighs. She takes out an ointment as she says, "Why do you let them do this to you? I'm sure it's not because you're weak, you'd be crying otherwise."

Sunghoon glances at her before looking at his feet, "It's... Personal... And it's nothing amusing..."

She looks at him and then decides not to bother him again. She makes him look up at her by pulling his chin.

Sunghoon feels his heart pound in his chest as he gulps nervously. He can feel the soft touch of her fingers holding his chin as he looks at her.

"May I remove your glasses? Your face is all bruised up. It will be easier for me." Hana asks as Sunghoon flinches.

He has never removed his glasses in front of anyone other than his mom and sister.

Even while getting bullied, he would make sure to keep his glasses on tightly so they wouldn't fall off.

It was solely because of his insecurity. Even though his sister said that he looked really handsome without his glasses. He felt as if it would never be true.

He believed that he was unattractive with or without his glasses. So he would feel uneasy to let people see his face clearly, thinking that they would be completely disappointed.

But it was his dear Hana asking for it. How could he say no to her? In the midst of the battle between his mind and heart, he decides to listen to his heart.

"O-okay..." It's a simple word, but it took all of the little confidence he had in him to utter it.

Sunghoon gulps nervously as he looks at Hana. How will she react? Will she be disappointed? What will happen...

[Hana's POV]

Why is he hesitating so much? It's not like his life is gonna change dramatically once people see his face.

I then nod as I slowly raise my hands and pull out his glasses. But his bangs cover his face upto his nose.

"Why don't you get a haircut? I mean, you would look better if your face was more visible..."

I say as I think to myself, why does he prefer hiding his face so much...

I feel him gulp nervously as he looks down. I sigh and decide to brush off his hair to finally reveal his face. I need to treat his face, and with his hair like this, I could never. I slowly brush aside his bangs.
