Cole Brock was a troubled youth. Growing up in an abusive household did nothing but corrupt the mind of the kid.
At the age of 14, Cole became a killer. It started as an accident. He watched as the man fell off the building. That was the first time he saw death up close. He didn't mean to hurt the man. He pushed the man while trying to get away. How was he supposed to know he would fall.
He sat in his rooms, tears in his eyes as his brother held him. Yelling filled the room as the boy cried.
His brother was his best friend. Always there for him, protecting him from the abuse his step father inflicted on them.
One day, Cole was walking home from school. He watched as his brother car pulled out into the street. Suddenly getting slammed into the side.
Cole watched as the car flipped, flames now erupted from inside.
"No!" He screamed as he ran towards his brother, the car exploding as he watched the other car drive away quickly. He cried as he watched the car burn.
Screaming dying down as sirens got closer. His only brother. His best friend, gone.
Left alone with the abuse he endured. He was 15 years old now.
He walked to school alone every day. As he approached the gym doors, he saw a car pull in. The same car that killed his brother. Colby watched as the couple walked into the school.
He quietly walked into the gym, his eyes falling on the figure on the balcony. Slowly, he walked up the stairs, picking up a bat laying against the wall. Colby watched as the boy tossed a basketball towards the net.
Cole was silent as he walked closer to the figure. He raised the bat and brought it down on the mans head. A thud sounded through the room as the man dropped.
He kept swinging the bat, over and over again, bringing it down on the mans body. He watched as the wounds showed up.
He dropped the bat. The boy not moving. Colby looked around, seeing a rope for the curtain held by a hook on the wall.
He quickly grabbed the rope, dragging it over to the boys body. Shallow breaths filled the air as colby tied the rope around his neck.
The man hands grabbed at the object around his neck as he felt himself being dragged across the floor. With a strong kick, the mans body fell, a loud crack sounding as the man hung. His body limp.
Colby stared at the man. He let out a soft laugh at the sight.
"Neil?" He heard a voice call out. He quickly hid behind the bleachers as he watched the girl get closer.
A scream left her mouth as she stared at the sight in front of her. Colby quietly snuck behind the girl, watching her as she broke down in sobs.
"It's okay." Colby said behind the girl. She quickly spun around, staring at the boy. He smiled as he held onto the baseball bat.
"Did you love him?" Colby asked the girl as he played with the bat.
"What did you do?" The girl cried as she backed away from the boy. "I loved my brother." Colby spoke to the girl before he quickly hit her over the head. She fell to the ground, blood spilling out of her temple.
The girl held her head as she tried to back away from the menacing kid. He quickly brought the bat down again, hitting the girl harder. She fell limp against the ground as he kept swinging the bat.
After one last swing, he backed up, looking at the sight in front of him. The bat dripped with blood as he threw it down. He looked at his hands, the blood staining them.
He quickly ran to the bathroom, scrubbing the blood off his hands and his face. He watched as the blood got rinsed down the sink. He laughed. The images of what he just did crossing his mind.
Energy flowed through his body. He felt alive. He enjoyed every second of the crime, he thought as he left the room.
The crime that started the downfall of Cole Brock.
