Story time~ (for real)
Ever since his encounter with Eternatus and Chairman Rose, And especially Zacian and Zamazenta, Leon has been encouraging people to visit the Slumbering Weald. Finally, after much begging, he promised to take Nuviah and Hop there.
Nuviah (teasingly) invited Sonia due to her (Sonia's) 'undeniable attraction' to Leon.
So the four of them set out, ready for adventure in the Slumbering Weald. Luckily, Rose is locked up (I hate him okay? plus he ain't the chairman no more) so Leon 'expertly' predicted that there wouldn't be any more problems there. Or so they thought..
"Hey, Hop?" Nuviah speaks up. "Haven't you been here before?"
"Yeah, but only for a little while. That's why I wanted to come back. To explore!"
"Explore what?" Sonia jokes. "Trees and bushes?"
"No! Leon gets it! Right, Leon? Uh.. Leon?"
"Huh? Oh, yeah. Sure."
"What's up with you? You were so excited to show us this place," Nuviah questioned.
"I-it's nothing, really.."
"Oh, it's something. Tell us." Sonia stood in front of him, blocking his path.
"I was just thinking about this trainer I met, Ash. He was the first to encounter those Pokémon I told you about."
"No way! You don't mean Ash Anastasia (I had to..) Ketchum from Pallet Town!" Nuviah shouts.
"Y-Yes.. I do.."
"Really?! I know him!"
"You do?"
"Yup! We grew up together. I was the first kid to ever beat him a battle, haha! I wonder how he's doing now.."
"Kicking butts and taking names, I'd assume. He's an amazing trainer."
"Ash.. yes, that name sounds familiar.." Sonia made a face. She always makes that face when she's thinking hard. "Yes, I think I've met him too."
"How do you all know this mysterious person and I don't?!" Hop pouted.
"You'll probably stumble across him sometime. He's everywhere and nowhere." Nuviah says matter-of-factly.
"Anyway, enough about this person I don't know! On to adventure!"
"You find adventure in everything.." Nuviah snickers.
Suddenly they heard a loud 'whooshing' sound.
"What was that?" Leon looked around.
"It's getting louder!" Nuviah covered her ears.
Next they saw a face. One of the scariest, ugliest, most evil looking face they had ever seen. A deep chill filled the air.
They all screamed.
A deep, odd laugh rang out from the trees. A person rushed toward them.
"I'm so sorry! My Gengar likes to scare people. Bad Gengar!"
That's when they caught a glimpse of the Trainer's face.
"Ash Ketchum?!" Nuviah shouted.
"Nuviah? Leon? Wow! I didn't expect you guys to be here!"
"We're exploring! What are you doing here, Ash?" Nuviah chirped.
"I'm on an expedition trip with my.. um.. friend."
"Ash, what's with that face?"
Ash turned away quickly. "It's.. it's nothing. You wouldn't understand."
"How do you know that?"
"You're just going to keep asking, aren't you?"
"No duh."
"Okay.. umm. That friend I was talking about.. he's-"
"Ash! There you are! You're so fast, I couldn't keep up." A boy appeared behind Ash. He had blue eyes, black hair, and thick lashes.
"Well.. here he is now.."
"Are these your friends?"
"Uh.. Y-yeah.."
"Nice to meet you! I'm Goh, Ash's boyfriend!"
"Wait hold up just a minute whatchu just say?" Nuviah exclaimed.
"Uh.. Ash.. did you tell them?"
"I was about to.."
"Oops.." Goh smiled sheepishly.
"Well, nice to meet you! I'm Nuviah, non-homosexual but still non-homophobic!"
"So.. you're straight but not a homophobe?" Goh asked.
"Uh.. basically."
"Anyway, sorry about Gengar. He's up to his old tricks again.." Gengar snickered. "What do you say we all walk together?"
"Sure!" Nuviah smiled. "But it looks like there's been certain developments!"
