It's My Honor

Rebekah Blare

As Maylen entered her classroom Rebekah's face lit up.

Maylen raised a eye brow at Rebekah's expression as she sat in the seat next to the blonde girl.

"Hi May!". Rebekah said with a high pitched voice.

"Hi-". Maylen responded im a much less high pitch voice.

"So! Since we're friends now wanna go over to my house?". Rebekah asked with a wide smile.

"Friends..? Uh......". Maylen hardly knew the girl stating they were friends.

"Yes, we're friends, right?". Rebekahs smile was to wide to ruin it.

"...right- yeah sure, i guess ill go. Where is it?". Maylen spoke with a sigh.

Rebekah grabbed a slip if paper and wrote her address on it, handing it to Maylen.

She accepted the paper and shoved it in her purse.

As class ended the bell rang dismissing the students inside if the building.

Most of the people flooded to the buses including Maylen and Rebekah.

Unfortunately they didnt ride the same bus so Maylen rode home in silence.

As she arrived home she went inside to hear her moms voice chime loudly.

"Hey May! How was it?". Her mother said as she walked down stairs to greet her daughter.

"Oh it was fine, i guess i made a friend. Can i go over to her house later?". Maylen said a bit reluctantly unsure if she should even ask.

"..sure". her mother spoke bluntly but still agreed.

"Okay thanks".

After a few hours of doing basically nothing Maylen had left the house and gotten in her car, driving to the address given on the paper.

As she arrived at the house she was a tad surprised by how nice it looked.

Rebekah saw her and rushed outside with a contagious smile. "Hey!".

Maylen stepped out of her car to greet Rebekah. "Hey-".

She was surprised when Rebekah hugged her tightly. 'well shes clingy' is what popped into Maylens mind.

Maylen broke the hug and gazed at Rebekahs house.

"Nice house-". Maylen said while still gazing at it.

"Thanks!". Rebekah grabbed her arm and rushed inside.

Maylen observed her house carfully, taking in small details for no apparent reason.

Rebekah went up to her room plopping onto her bed as maylen followed behind her.

As soon as Maylen saw her room she felt sick almost.

It was a brightly room covered in pink shades of all such.

Maylen didnt doubt Rebekah would be one to have a pink bedroom.

But that didn't make her anymore used to it due to Maylens room always being basic neutral colors.

She glanced around at the light pink bins filled with makeup on a brown vanity.

"This is uhm....very....vibrant". Maylen spoke with a bit of a chuckle.

"I know right!". Rebekah said with a bright smile as if she took maylens comment as a compliment.

"Heh-". Maylen adjusted her postion to a more comfortable one.

For some reason Rebekah always seemed so....happy..?

To Maylen it seemed so exhausting keeping a smile up all day.

I mean yeah, Maylen was happy alot, but having to keep up with it so you didn't get a second look was a bit harsh and tiring.

"So...you hungry?". Rebekah asked to break the awkward silence.

Although it didnt't help much, she appreciated it.

"Sure". May nodded with a small smile on her face.

"Okay!" Rebekah jumped up leading May to the kitchen.

As they reached the kitchen Rebekah spoke. "So uh you can basically take anything, i dont mind".

Of course Maylen wouldn't just start raging her fridge or anything so she just took some chips off the counter and started eating them with Rebekah.

Hours later Maylen is back home in her room, scrolling on her phone when she gets a idea.

She raised her eyebrows at the idea in her mind.

But she mostly ignored it as she sat back into her bed.

For some reason the thought bugged her all night, it was irritating, but the more it fed into her mind the more she consider it.

She rolled onto her side, placing her phone on her night stand before drifting to sleep.

(A/N: 686 words<3 so this took a hot minute due to the original story glitching and it was just mayhem but im working on it)
