The Beginning of the End

A long time ago, Gangle was doing some arts and crafts. She was making a collage of some drawings to form one big piece. She reached for her box cutter.

A surge of pain shot through her arm and she pulled away, yelling in shock and hurt. After a moment, she looked at her ribbon arm. She had accidentally cut her arm. The end of her arm was dangling off. It was excruciating. She ran out her room, zoomed past Kaufmo, and straight towards Ragatha's room, hoping that she could do something about it.

Back to the present, Gangle thought about that moment. How cleanly the box cutter sliced her material. How her ribbon was just barely hanging on. She then remembered how Ragatha stitched her hand back onto her arm. She felt bad for putting Ragatha through that.

"Hey, are you listening to me?", Ragatha asked, snapping Gangle out of her daydream.

"Oh. Sorry, I was distracted," Gangle replied.

"That's okay, just listen," Ragatha said before going back to explain crocheting.

Ragatha was always into crocheting, making little things for the different circus members. She made an ant plushie for Kinger, a comfortable beanie for Zooble, a rainbow blanket for Pomni, and a crochet comedy mask for Gangle. It didn't work as intended, but Gangle still kept it, appreciating the thought that went into it.

Ragatha rambled on about the intricacies of crocheting, the different types of stitches and demonstrating each different type expertly. Gangle payed close attention, not that it mattered anyway. She just wanted Ragatha to feel glad, knowing that Gangle cared about her hobby.

Once it was nighttime, Ragatha stored all her crocheting equipment back, her hook in a drawer and the yarn into another drawer.

"Thanks for listening, Gangle. I'm really happy that you're interested in my hobby. We should crochet sometime tomorrow." Ragatha said. She then went to her door and opened it.

"I'm glad I can do that for you. Goodnight." Gangle said as she put on her jacket to hide the scars on her arms.

"Gangle?"

She turned around and look towards Ragatha

"Yes?"

"If you don't mind," Ragatha hesitated a little before she decided to just say her question. "Can I ask why you've been so selfless lately?"

This question caught her off guard and she raised an eyebrow

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, lately you been very reclusive. You've always been helping others. Even when Caine made us escape a labyrinth, you leaded everyone out, including Jax. I appreciate it, but know that if you want to talk..."

Gangle heard enough. She didn't want her to pity sometime like herself.

"I'm fine. Don't worry. Imma go to sleep now." She reassured Ragatha as she went out the door to walk to her room.
