*A week later*
Alana cuddles right up on my chest, kissing at my neck. I laugh, squirming around in laughter. She smiles at my laughter before a soft knock hits the door. Oh shit. Did Bill fall asleep? How did she get out of his room? "Is that Bill?" Alana whispers, I shrug. But I know exactly who it is.
Engel.
I swallow hard as I get up, walking to the door. Running circles in my head to figure out what to use as an excuse. Other than I killed her brother and took her. I have no clue. I open the door, hoping Engel remembers our deal. No talking about what she saw or how she got here. At all. I give her candy to bribe her when she gets fussy, it's already hard to care for a kid.
Alana sits up, gasping loudly. Engel blinks at her, then looks at me. "Uppies!" Engel demands. I giggle, bending down and picking her up. Holding her in my arms. She throws her little arms around my neck, she loves me. I heard her say it right to my face. How could she?
"How did you get a little child, Tom. Have you gotten a girl pregnant before?" Alana asks, slight fear in her voice. I look at Engel, she smiles. Hopefully she knows. Engel crawls up to Alana as her face shows how much she loves this little girl already. One day I'll tell her the truth, but not now. Alana would be scared of me, and possibly break up with me. And I can't risk that.

*FLASHBACK - NIGHT AFTER KILLING*
"So, Engel, how old are you?" I ask, looking down at her. Alana will be here soon, hppefully Engel can stay hidden. Bill was relieved to see I softened up and couldn't even take out the only witness left. "I'm 4, I'll be 5 soon." She smiles innocently. I tilt my head, my braids falling over my shoulders.
"Oh yeah? That's amazing, little one." I smile at her, making her break into precious laughter. A childrens laughter is truly the best medicine. "I love you, thank you for saving me." She mutters, I widen my eyes. Astonished. "I-I love you too, Engel. I promise to protect you for the rest of your life."
----------------------------------------------------
Engel quickly finds her place in Al's lap, causing me a smile. They both have such sweet hearts. "Do you like her, Engel?" I ask, closing my bedroom door as I make my way back. Alana's eyes go wide. "Engel? That's her name?" She asks, sounding shocked.
"Yeah, isn't it pretty?" I ask, looking down at her. She only looked a little like that prick Nathan, but she was a pretty little girl. She has manners, she's playful, and she has the softest hair. She can bath herself, thank god. Because I haven't been up to doing that unless I told Alana about her. I was too afraid it would be weird for us both, and I couldn't make Engel more uncomfortable than she already had been.
Moving to a new place, adjusting to her new life and meeting my brother. She was a ball of joy. All over Bill, hugging him, circling around his feet, constantly longing for him. I think he's the favorite. "Bill is the better dad though." I giggle, looking at Al. She laughs too, looking down at Engel as she snuggles onto her.
"Oh yeah? Is Billy better?" Alana smirks down at her as I lay back down next to them. Engel smiles, nodding. I scoff with a smile. "Hey! I take good care of you too, though!" She shrugs. "Bill is better." I glance up at Alana, she smiles and laughs.
