The door knocks

The door knocks.

“Come in”, I said, distracted.

While I work the only thing I concentrate on is work. I believe in doing one thing at a time.

“I have applied for your leave, sir.”, She said with an attitude lasing her tone. My assistant. Vaidehi. She is here for her internship. A girl with so much ego and bossiness. I hate such women.

I nod as I hand her a few files, “Okay. Give these to Mr. Sudhakar.”

I obviously pissed her off.

She rolled her eyes at me and I shrugged.

Good job Arjun.

I work as the head Java developer in Infosys, Bengaluru, India.

Twelve other Java developers work under me.

Usually they are here for their internship.

I train them and give them practicals which I check to see their progress.

Vaidehi is one of those.

But being an internship senior I get more work out of her. I just dislike her.

Hating her is far, far away.

I was so indulged in my work that I lost track of time. The thing that bought me out of my work world was a phone call.

"Bastard!", the Bastard himself squeaks.

"What do you want?", I asked annoyed.

"Your fucking peace." he said and I cut the call.

I hate distractions.

After some time I heard someone familiar screaming.

Who should that be? I do have an idea.

The door opens with a knock revealing Vaidehi.

“Sir, someone has come to meet you.”, She said with hesitation.

I took advantage of that hesitation and yelled back my voice a little more louder “I never let you in. Did I? And for god sake have you forgotten I don't meet anyone during work without any appointment?”

She flinched at the coldness of my voice.

The person was visible to me now. Only his back. He was yelling at the helping staff who were trying to stop him from entering further.”I fucking dont need that asshole’s appointment.”

Wtf.

Okay why did he come here?

Couldn't he wait at home?

Shit man.

He turned back to look at me.

I raised my eyebrows at him and told Vaidehi “Let him in and go get control of the situation.”
