Chapter 3

It's been two weeks since I've met Carlos. He let me meet his friends, he and his friends are so nice.
He texted me this morning and told me that he's gonna be picking me up, I refused and he saw the message but didn't answer.
I wore my shoes and went out of my house. I was about to walk to school when I noticed a car stopping infront of me. I stood for sec but suddenly a guy came out of it, it was Carlos.
"Carlos? What are you doing here?'' I asked
"I told you that I'll be picking you up" I look at him with a frown "what?''
"I told you that you don't need to pick me up"
"Yeah I know but I want to so come on hop in" I sighed and agreed since there's no use of arguing with him.
On the way
The ride was silent and it was an awkward silent for no reason but I decided to break it.
"Carlos?" He hummed in response "Are we going to meet your friends?"
What? Why did I ask such question?!
"Supposedly yes but why?"
Give him any excuse, any excuse come on!
"I wanted to talk to Gio about something"
He nodded "Can I know what is it?"
Oh God, what am I supposed to say!!
"Well, I have something important maybe you'll get to know it later"
He just nodded in response when his phone rang. He picked it up and glanced at me. What's wrong?
"Yes Gio... I'm coming... I picked her up and we're on the way... fine" he hung up, he's so mad!
"Carl, what's wrong? Why are you mad?"
He pulled over as we arrived and turned to face me.
"Is there something between you & Gio?" I frowned confused.
"What? No, why?"
"Nothing, just if you have something in your mind please tell it to me" I nodded.
Why does he act like that whenever there's a guy in the conversation?!
We went inside and all his friends were waiting for us. As we arrived to them, Gio took my hand "Micha, I want to talk to you"
"Sure, tell me"
"Um... Micha, I know it's so fast but I wanna tell you that I like you... I mean, you haven't been off my mind since the first day I talked to you. So will you please give us a chance to get to know each other better and the rest, God will be handling it?"
I stood there frozed, not knowing what to say.
"Look, I know that you don't have the same feeling as me but please give us a chance" he added.
"G-Gio... I don't know what to say..." When I looked at his friends, I found Carlos mad and as we made eye contact, he left to I don't know where "I can't give you an answer now, can you please give me 1 day just to think about it! It's the first time someone telling me such thing"
"Yeah sure, take your time" he said. I made him let go of my hand and went searching for Carlos.
I went searching around the cafeteria and saw him buying chocolate. As he paid, he turned to leave but stopped when he saw me. He took a deep breath and walked towards me and to my surprise, he actually walked past me. I followed him for a minute until I gave up and grabbed him by the arm.
"YOU are coming with me, NOW" I said out of anger.
I pulled him and went to our secret place that no one knows about, even his friends.
I made him sit down and looked at him.
"Can you tell me why you're mad and ignoring me?" He stayed silent "You know, even though I love you so much and trust you the most. Sometimes I can't keep up with your madness. Every time you get mad at me, you never tell me the reason. I don't say anything! I mean come on, we are friends and more like siblings! We are supposed to stick to each other's company, you gotta talk to me so that we could solve mistakes that we made. Please tell me what's wrong!!"
He sighed and nodded "Are you Gio's girlfriend now?"
"No"
"Did you reject him?"
"No"
He looked at me confused "what did you respond then?"
"I told him to give me time until tomorrow so I could think about it" he just nodded. "Why were you mad?"
"I can't tell you right now"
"Don't keep things from me"
"I'm sorry"
"It's fine"
