Days flew by as you and hobi stuck together as you both tried to crack the codes which mingi helped yall to find. As hobi thought it wasn't safe for you to work at the daycare anymore so he suggested you to quit the job for which you did as he suggested without thinking twice as you thought it was the right thing to do for now. Currently, you both were on your way to your grandmas hometown to visit your mom and ensure her safety.
The journey was pretty much 5 hour long, the atmosphere in the car was quite as no one dared to speak up. You both stopped in front of a small house and got down. You let out a deep sigh as you got down at looked around, observing the surrounding as its been a long time. Hobi knocks on the door but no one opens until an old woman approached and looked at you both with a confused look. "Y/n?" she looked surprised, "oh nanny, i missed you so much" you hugged her tight as she too returned the hug with the same energy. she broke the hug and looked at hobi, "oh nanny, he's Jung Hoseok, my boyfriend and hobi this is my grandma" you smiled as hobi bowed and greeted her, "omo he's so cute y/n-iee~" she giggled admiring you both, "gosh come inside both of you, you must be tired" she lead you both inside the house. This one place gave you alot of memories as you grew up here for almost 6 to 7 years and then moved to the city. Your grandma handed two cups of cool water as you took a seat on the floor, hobi looked around as he was amazed by how beautiful the house looked even though it was small.
"oh nanny, where's mom" you asked as you placed the cup on the table, "mom? she might be in your house. she didn't come here" she shrugged as hobi chocked on water as you patted his head panicking. "s-she didn't come here?" his eyes widened , "no dear she didn't come here, its been years since she came" "If she didn't come here then where did she go" you mumbled as you looked at hobi confused. "Is something wrong darling?" your grandma questioned as she took a seat next to you and held you hand, "ah no nanny i was joking" you laughed it off, "nanny, can me and hobi stay here for a week?" you continued, "omo ill be more than please my dear. make yourself comfy and enjoy the week here, i wouldnt be bothered" she beamed as you smiled at her, "you can use your room which is upstairs, i havent moved anything of yours from there. Freshen up by then ill go to the market to buy some vegetables" she said as she left the house walking towards the market.
You and hobi walked to the room, which was clean and bright with alot of cute stuffs here and there, "this was your room?" hobi said as he went through the pictures that was on the wall, "yeah when i was a kid i spent most of my time here" you chuckled to yourself remembering those times where you lived without any worries.
You stood in the backyard, staring at the dark sky above you as you looked at the stars hoping one of them would be your step-dad. you regretted. you regretted the day when he wanted to to say something to me but i refused. my dumbass was stubborn indeed. You sigh as you felt a pair of arms wrap around your waist and a chin placed on your shoulders. You knew it was hobi. "babyyy~?" he cooed making you giggle, "i wanna say something but don't get offended" he said as you turned around and looked at him in the eyes, "just say it" , "i feel like your mom might've known about this matter and lied to you flee away in order to escape and be safe" he sighed as he couldn't look you in the eyes. You sighed and once again turned around looking at the sky. "Maybe you're right, love. But as we try to crack this the more complicated and serious this becomes. This started off a small one but is going on as a pretty huge one which should be solved by certified detectives." you paused "I too have a feeling that my mom knew about my actual dad being alive all long but she hid it from me. But why would she do that?" you continue "That's the question which needs an answer for now, we will the solution to this entire mystery in this one week and head back home in peace." he said to which you nodded.
"Now come let's go have dinner, nanny has been calling you from a long time." he grabbed your hand gently leading you inside the house for dinner.

You both laid down on the bed cuddling and seeking warmth in each others embrace. "hobi?" you looked up at him, "yes, my love?" he still kept his eyes closed. "Do you know someone from the department which your dad worked in? Maybe that person might know something about my dad or anything related" you said to which he shot his eyes open and looked at you, "How come i never thought about this idea? I guess i know someone who was pretty close to my dad, he might know something. He lives in the next town, so yeah we can collect information from him" he said to which you nod and snuggled back into his chest and closed your eyes. "night night love" "good night y/n-iee~" he said as he placed a soft gentle kiss on your forehead before drifting into deep slumber in each other's embrace
