You both bid farewell and sat back in the car in complete silence. "It just keeps getting worse" you sigh. Hobi just stays quiet. He continues to start car and drive back home. "I have a feeling we might find something in moms room" "and why do you think that?" He raised his eyebrow, "i mean she never let anyone in there, so i feel there ofcourse might be something that can help us get through this" you said as you looked at hobi to see his reaction but he just nod in silence making you frown. Shrugging off his reaction you both head back to nanny's house. By the time you both reached back the sun had already set, unfolding the dark sky which looked pretty with the moon and stars around.
As you stepped out the car, nanny welcomed you both back home, "you guys get refreshed while i set the dinner table" you both nod and went upstairs to the room. Locking the door behind as you plopped on the bed while hobi quietly enters the shower. You ofcourse found his behaviour weird because he is not someone who would keep quite for more than 10 minutes but you shrugged it thinking maybe him being tired and exhausted is the cause of his silence.
A long time later, after dinner, you went in search of hobi as you wanted to talk to him about going back home in search of evidence but it was odd that you couldn't find him anywhere. You peeped out the window to see his car parked. With a sound knock on nanny's room you heard her telling you to come in. "Y/n? My dear why haven't you gone to bed?"she looked a little concerned as its past my usual bedtime. "Nanny, did you see hobi? He's not in the house"you looked genuinely worried and quite shaken by the fact he's not around during this situation. Nanny chuckled and said, "my dear, he's gone to the near by store-",before she could complete you spoke, "the store?!? At this point?!? It's 11:40pm and he went to the store to buy what??!", you groan in frustration. You immediatly grabbed your phone and dialed his number. You heard it rang. As soon he picked the call you had a sense of relief wash over. "YAH!! WHAT ARE YOU EVEN DOING AT THE STORE THIS LATE?!?!", you yelled over the call to only have him chuckle in response which got you all confused, "HOW COULD YOU CHUCKLE WHEN IM SO WORRIED, SHEESH, GET HOME NOW AS SOON AS POSSI-" "omg y/n, calm down, im all good, i came to buy some snacks. Another 10 mins ill be home, you go to bed", he interrupts earning a sigh from you as you pinched the bridge of your nose, "fine come soon" you said and hung up. Nanny too chuckled witnessing all this and into her room. You looked offended on how these people are so chill and calm about the entire situation while you are cautious about every single step. You shoke your head and walked into the room and made yourself comfy under the cozy blanket on the bed as you waited for hobi to return.
Days pass by as you and hobi head back home from nanny's house. You both couldnt handle it anymore so you decided to head home.
"Hobi" you decided to break the silence, "cab we go to MY house?" "Right now? We could go tomor-" " no we need to go today.....before it gets late" hobi sighed at your words and nodded.
You both straight head to your house. After an hour or two, the car soon came to a halt infront of the gate. You sigh in dismay. "Y-you have the keys?" He asked as i nod and got down the car. Hobi did the same too and stood next to me. I opened the rusted gate as i went towards the door and unlocked it. We both stepped in being way too cautious. 'Damn' i mutter as i looked around, all those memories flashing by. You held hobis hand walked towards your mom's room without hesitance. "Whats in here?" "Secrets...its my moms room, so there might be some. We need to know why she never allowed anyone in here", i blankly stare at the door knob fighting with my thoughts. "Just do it y/n" hobi nudges my shoulder. I slowly opened the door and stepped in. The room was pretty messy and was filled with boxes. "Guess we're gonna have a long day in here".
