You are in love with Neteyam, you were since childhood. But you knew he wasn't interested, not in slightest way. It's not that he likes someone else, no, he just didn't feel like he was ready, and you understood that, you did.
You tried to compliment him, praise him for his skills and all these things, but he only smiled politely and thanked you.
Even his family noticed how madly in love you were, and they were confused, mostly Jake and Neytiri. You were more than worth to be his mate, why didn't he want you?
You will never find out an answer to that, and so, you admire from afar. You truly can't help yourself, he was just so...pretty and strong, wasn't he?
You wanted to do nothing but admire him, he deserved nothing less.
He should know he's appreciated.
"Neteyam, did I tell you yet that you look extra bbg today?"
You have heard that from the scientists, and you thought it sounded good. Neteyam almost choked on his salvia as he had to hit his chest few times before looking at you suprised. He never expected something so...bold, coming from you.
"E-excuse me?"
He chuckled out, tilting his head as he looked at you. You wanted to melt immediately in that moment, just smiling happily.
"I said that you look very bbq today!"
Neteyam laughed, shaking his head as he raised an eyebrow.
"Didn't you mean....baby girl?"
And of course, he fell into that trap by himself as you smirked. He realised that no, in fact it was a trap and he sighed, shaking his head as he chuckled.
"God damn it...not another one..."
You just snickered, looking at him with soft eyes. But he didn't really look at you the same way, his focus was on something.
His ears twitched softly, his expression calm.
And that was the last Neteyam thought about as he laid on the wet cold rock, blood sipping out of his soft blue skin. He regretted it all now, how he avoided you after that moment. His last thoughts were all about you..and what could of been
