Sunny lay in bed, he didn't want to get up, there wasn't any point. Even when the sun had reached his bed he didn't want to budge. He stares across the room as he sees his violin and laments. 'Why did this have to happen? I wish I could just do something.' He turned away, Sunny never thought highly of himself, this is probably the lowest he has ever felt in a while, maybe in his entire life even though he was still 12. He was always reminding himself that there wouldn't be much time left until the recital, they would be going back to school again soon anyway.

He heard a knock on his bedroom door, it was Kel, "Helllooooo. Sunny, it's me, Kel. You gonna get up? We're gonna go to the park, since you can't practice right now you can come with us, right?."

Sunny shot up from bed, usually he'd be too busy practicing but this time he could go spend time with his friends. Maybe it wasn't all that bad. He called out to Kel he'd be out in a second and got changed into clothes that he could go out in instead of his pyjamas. Screw not doing anything, this is way better.

Sunny opened the bedroom door and Kel was still waiting for him, "Finally, come on, everyone else is waiting outside." The two headed downstairs, hearing Mari play the piano. Sunny hasn't seen her as often lately, sometimes she'd be out with their parents and running errands but more often than not, she's playing the same waltz on the piano. He hated that, he wanted to see his sister instead of her being glued to the piano.

Once they were outside they were met with smiling faces from Aubrey, Hero and Basil. "Hi, Sunny! I heard about your blisters, are you ok?" Basil asked him in a concerned tone.

"I'm fine..." Sunny replied, "It doesn't hurt as much anymore."

Hero had a look of relief on his face, "That's great, I'm glad Mari is letting you rest too. Don't tell her I said this but I think she's making you work too much."

Aubrey chimed in, "Yeah, it's always good to take a break now and again. Take care of yourself."

"Right..." Sunny shifted his eyes to the pavement, he didn't want people caring about him and feeling bad for him but he couldn't avoid that, they are his friends after all.

The five headed to the park and Kel was practicing his basketball skills against Hero, "Watch this one, Hero!" Kel dribbled the ball and went for a two-point shot from the right side, Hero simply raised his hand up and blocked the ball, "No fair! Don't use the height difference between us against me!"

"Them's the breaks, Kel!" Hero chuckled, "I've got to use every advantage I have to stop you from scoring!"

Kel groaned as he picked up the ball again and passed it to Hero, "Ok then. I'll show you that I have the potential for top tier defence."

"Show me that you've got game then." Hero egged Kel on, he certainly had quite the competitive spirit.

Basil snapped a picture of the two playing basketball. Hero took notice of this and dropped his guard as Kel stole the ball and did a lay up, all while Hero was distracted. "Haha! One to Kel and Hero sits at zero!"

"Oh come on, if Basil didn't take a picture I would have scored on you." Hero rolled his eyes as he witnessed Kel continuing to taunt him.

Basil giggled at the scene, "Sorry, Hero! The opportunity was too good to pass up!" He removed the printed photo from the camera, wafted it to clear it and opened his photo album and stuck it in the album. He then took out his pencil and sat down to begin writing a passage.

'Kel and Hero playing basketball. Hero got distracted by the camera when I took the picture so Kel took the opportunity to score against his older brother. Sorry, Hero!'

Basil looked up as Hero was continuously getting the upper hand against Kel. Kel was no pushover either, putting up as much of a fight as he could.

Meanwhile, Sunny and Aubrey were at their usual spot on the swings, Aubrey was trying to catch Sunny up on The Adventures of Captain Spaceboyfriend, "And then the big bad bunny charged towards the Captain and he dodged, which caused the bunny to slam into the wall like WHAM!" She punched her own hand while using the onomatopoeia.
