The girl, now a woman, who's right kneecap is injured, is standing on the roof of an abandoned building. However, she's not alone. A boy, now a man, walks gradually up to her side. His head is covered in bandages containing blood. They watch the mixture of pastel orange and light blue in the sky. The sun is about to set. They are settling down as well.
'Are the sacrifices worth it?' The man initiates the conversation quietly.
The woman turns her head to face the man. Her eyes becomes determined throughout her pause.
She says, 'It's up to you, but I think yes.'
'What d'you mean?' The man asks, confused.
The woman sighs in a relieved kind of way. She says, 'Look at the people we saved, then you'll understand.'
The two pairs of eyes concentrates on the sunset once more. They both recall the residents they summoned back from the death's hands. The residents' faces, full of glee and joy, never worrying about their lives and loved ones. The residents, who have no idea how much the price is to pay. The residents, who didn't undergo the pain to lose.
Eventually, the man halts. He realized that without those sacrifices, the residents won't be here, and the war won't be officially over.
The man says, 'They didn't die in vain.'
'Yeah,' The woman replies. 'It's difficult for us to be aware, but we, we, saved the world.'
