Together (Smoke and mirrors AU sequel)

Chapter 4

Ryan has entered into the desert kingdom with fire around. Seeing almost everyone crowd from the view as he went ahead to the castle. He swore seeing some guards were getting out of his way. He also greeted them in respect as they passed by.

Oddly to be careless but this may be a bit kind for him. However all he needs is help from the old friend.

He already made it to the throne room by seeing a few guards gathered for their queen with her hair made out of fire flames. Her eyes may be looking blind, but it does have red, orange that matches her hair.

A female with short red, orange haircut and her red eyes on the familiar figures. Her expression seems to be careless, but she figures this is an encounter with him. Maybe the queen will have nice conversations with him.

"Hey Eliz, how are you doing?" His tone was friendly, heartfelt towards the queen who smiled at him.

"Like wise, old friend. What brings you here?" Greetings from Elizabeth who is the ruler of her kingdom and smiles at Ryan.

Before she befriended Ryan, she ruled through her kingdom with her husband by her side. Of course, she loved her husband since their times were adoring. Until attractive happens to her husband. He had been sicker before she ruled by herself. After his death, Ryan met Elizabeth. They became fast friends.

After several years, Elizabeth notices his odd behavior, but she just shrugs it off. She has known him for several years when she needed to move on from her husband's death.

"Well actually, I needed some help," he stated by looking up at the female next to his friend.

"What reason do you need?" She questioned the immortal male. The female narrows her eyes on Ryan then looks back at the queen who looks at her.

"Perhaps that I need someone who is willing to do a very fine job. Someone who will haunt down what I need," he says with a calm tone.

The queen looks at the female beside her which leads to a person who nodded her head. Before she spoke to Ryan, she couldn't help but  return a favor for her old friend.

She glanced back at the immortal then said, "I'm sure my assistant will do it for you. In fact, she is a fantastic bounding haunter."

"Very well. May I speak with her," he smiled with the small hint of evil. In fact, the queen didn't notice how he was smiling like that, but the female assistant knows.

Honestly, she doesn't trust him. However seeing her queen who agrees, she looks at the person with soft expressions.

"You may go, Christina," she mentioned to the female known as Christina who nodded her head.

She went ahead towards Ryan with  welcome expression then looking at the queen. "Before we go, I will like to invite you to the royal guest ball tomorrow night. I want to have a nice hangout with you, your majesty..." He bowed down.

This brings a warm smile for the queen then replies, "oh, I never know there is a ball tomorrow night—if I have nothing on schedule for tomorrow evening."

Sooner two figures left out of the throne while Elizabeth's eyes followed Ryan with sudden suspicions.

Meanwhile two persons with two demons by their side were in the studied room full of books. They were gathering around on the table while figuring out the plan.

"I remember what he mentioned about Ryan and angels. Does it sound completely odd about him?" Flug questioning while he checks on the books.
