Damaged goods is a term that is used in a negative manner. When it should be used in a positive way. It is a good thing to be broken down, because without damage there is no room for repair and improvement. We all need to feel pain, anger, and sorrow. Because without these emotions, this hurt, what would we overcome in our lives to us better ourselves? Everyone is damaged, some more than others. But being able to overcome it and work harder for better lives is the goal. All this means is that you didn't care about the odds, you chose to rise above it and did what was best for you. So if someone calls you "damaged goods" be thankful, because that is the highest compliment you can receive.
