No Going Back Now

"Miss Whitlock, a moment if you will." Professor Weasley called to her as the other students began to file out. She bid Natty farewell with a promise to meet up later.

"You needed something, Professor?" Olive questioned.

"Yes, I have been thinking, while you are excelling at your studies, I can imagine it must be difficult to find a suitable place to have a quiet place to study and practice wand work with everyone gawking at you for one reason or another. I have a place I would like to share with you, a place to give you privacy. Meet me on the seventh floor of the Astronomy Tower during lunch hour, off you go now." Professor Weasley shooed the very confused girl out of the classroom.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Olive stood awkwardly in the seventh-floor corridor, nodding in acknowledgement to other students as they passed by. She hoped Professor Weasley would come soon so she wouldn't have to stare at this horrid tapestry of a man trying to teach trolls how to dance ballet any longer. She slowly paced back and forth wondering what on earth could be all the way up here for her.

"A place to give me privacy to study and practice wand work?" This was a plain corridor, there were no rooms, maybe this was just the meeting place, and Professor Weasley would take her somewhere else.

She turned on her heels and walked back for the third time, as she passed the blank wall, she saw movement. The wall started to sink in, creating an indent of a door, she looked on in astonishment as the indent turned into a real door. Her mouth was agape as the professor rounded the corner.

"My apologies! Unsanctioned magic in the hallways, couple of second years burnt off their hair- Oh! Looks like you've already gotten started, great work, lets head in." Professor Weasley brushed past her and made her way into the dark room, Olive trailed slowly behind.

"Professor you don't seem the slightest bit confused that this room suddenly appeared out of nowhere."

The room was quiet honestly, filled with junk. Furniture and knickknacks were stacked on top of each other as high as she could see. Daylight was peeking through from somewhere, but it was difficult to tell as she couldn't even see a window through all the piles, one wrong move and everything would come tumbling.

"Welcome to the Room of Requirement. It is a room that very few know about, it does not show up on maps and only presents itself in a moment of need." The pair waded through the narrow path; Olive was careful not to knock into anything. "I'm sure you've been able to tell, but this is also the room of hidden things, it's been used mostly for storage over the years, but serves as a hiding place as well. Now, I had no intention of conjuring the room for you myself, I was simply going to suggest how you may find it, by pacing in front of the wall three times while focusing on what you need. However, you have exceeded my expectations and done it on your own. I wonder where Deek might be..."

"Deek? Professor?"

"Deek is the house elf I was speaking to on your first day. I figured he may be able to help you with the room, oh, I think he's just ahead." Rustling could be heard in the next room; they followed the noise and Olive ducked as a few items were thrown haphazardly in her direction from high above.

"Hey! Be careful!" Olive called to the small figure.

The house elf stood up in surprise and turned to them, his large ears flopping as he moved "Deek apologizes, Deek didn't know you were there. Just hold on right there!" The small elf climbed out of the chest he was in, hair was sparse on his head, but full on his chin and eyebrows, he had large round eyes and wore a cloth toga that once had a plaid pattern.
