The boys of One Direction where lounging peacefully in Liam's living room, conversing ideas as they wrote for the upcoming album.

Liam's heart raced as he heard the insistent knock on his door. He exchanged a quick glance with the other lads before heading to answer it.

Opening the door, Liam froze at the sight of his ex-boyfriend, Justin, standing there with a scowl on his face. "What do you want, Justin?" Liam asked, trying to keep his voice steady.

Justin brushed past him, ignoring Liam's question. "I left my old backpack here," he said, his tone demanding.

Liam clenched his jaw, his fists tightening at his sides. "I got rid of all your stuff months ago. You're not welcome here."

Justin sneered, stepping closer to Liam. "This used to be my house too, remember? I can do whatever I want."

"No, it's not your house anymore," Liam shot back, his voice firm. He reached out to push Justin away, but Justin resisted, standing his ground.

Suddenly, the other boys appeared behind Liam, concern etched on their faces as they witnessed the confrontation. Liam shot them a reassuring look, silently urging them to stay back.

Justin's voice grew louder, more venomous. "You can't just kick me out like that, you worthless piece of shit," he spat, his words cutting through the air like knives.

Liam's eyes narrowed, his hands balling into fists. "Get out," he growled, his voice low and dangerous. "And if I find your bag, I'll drop it off somewhere for you."

As Liam shut the door in Justin's face, the shouting continued from outside. Justin's hateful words echoed in Liam's ears, but he refused to let them break him.

The other boys exchanged worried glances, but Liam waved them off, forcing a tight smile. "It's just an old boyfriend," he muttered, trying to brush off the tension. "Let's get back to writing."

With a collective nod, they returned to their seats, but the atmosphere remained tense, the memory of Justin's visit lingering in the air like a dark cloud.

As the night wore on, Niall stood up, stretching his arms. "I should probably head out," he said with a yawn, glancing at the clock.

"Alright, mate. Take care," Zayn said, giving Niall a pat on the back as the others chimed in with their goodbyes.

Niall waved as he made his way to the door, but as soon as he stepped outside, he was met with a sudden onslaught. Justin, lurking in the shadows, lunged at him, mistaking Niall for Liam's new boyfriend.

Niall's cries for help echoed through the night, drawing the attention of the other boys. They raced outside, their hearts pounding as they witnessed Justin's attack on their friend.

Liam's blood ran cold as he saw Niall's terrified face, his instincts kicking into overdrive. With a fierce growl, he pulled Justin off Niall, his hands trembling with rage.

The boys rushed to Niall's side, concern etched on their faces as they assessed the damage. Liam's hands shook as he reached for his phone, dialling the emergency number without hesitation.

Cornering Justin to prevent him from fleeing, Liam waited anxiously for the police to arrive, his mind racing with guilt and fear.

Once the authorities took Justin away, Liam led Niall back inside, the others following closely behind. Tears welled up in Liam's eyes as he looked at Niall's bruised face, his heart heavy with regret.

Liam's heart clenched with every word of apology that escaped his lips, each one heavy with remorse. "I'm so sorry, Niall. I never should've let him in," he repeated, his voice cracking with emotion.

Niall reached out, gently placing a hand on Liam's shoulder. "Liam, it's okay. None of us knew he would do something like this," he said, his voice soft and reassuring.

Harry stepped forward, wrapping Liam in a comforting embrace. "We're here for you, mate. We'll get through this together," he said, his words filled with sincerity.

Louis nodded in agreement, his expression solemn. "You did the best you could in a difficult situation, Liam. None of this is your fault," he said firmly, his voice unwavering.

Tears streamed down Liam's face as he leaned into the embrace of his friends, feeling their warmth and support envelop him like a protective shield. In that moment, he knew that no matter what challenges they faced, they would always stand by each other's side.

With the echoes of Justin's hateful words still ringing in their ears, the boys held each other close, drawing strength from the unbreakable bond that bound them together as brothers. And as they looked to the future, they knew that together, they could overcome anything that came their way.
