"Athaya",she was surprised and a big smile adorned her face.
"Mridula! How are you feeling now,dear?",she asked as she got up from her place and reached to pat her head slowly.
"I am fine, athaya! Just a bit weak. Why did you take the trouble to stay back here? Aaru would have managed",Mridula said.
"Aaru has an important surgery to assist and why young lady? Don't you like me staying here with you?",she raised a brow.
"No, I mean ammamma garu also needs to be taken care of. So, I didn't mean it that way, athaya! I swear",she said keeping her hand on her head with her best possible innocent face on display.
"Your mavayya will take care of her, for one night not a big deal",she said and Mridula nodded.
"Did you eat athaya?",Mridula asked.
"I did, they said they will come with your food soon",Aruna said.
"Athaya, can I ask you something?",Mridula asked her as Aruna sat on the chair beside.
"Yes, kanna! What is it?",Aruna replied.
"Athaya, even after knowing that I am not in my best terms with your son whom you got married to me with so many hopes and dreams. Why are you still being nice to me? No, I'm not accusing you for being sweet to me. I wouldn't have gotten lucky if not for you. Just curious",Mridula asked.
She has always wanted to know, why? Usually when she sees couples around, it's either way too strict in laws or those in laws who doesn't really care. But this case was different.
"I was just being me, kanna. You are good to me, and I reciprocate the same with you. Talking about your equation with Sharan, that's between you two. You fight with each other, you do anything that will stay between both of you.The least I can do is talk to you both about this,but not force you both to act the way I will say",Aruna said.
