Gauri stood rooted to her spot, unsure of how to proceed, her mind spinning with uncertainty. When her mother-in-law spoke, her voice gentle and concerned, Gauri felt a wave of relief wash over her.

"What happened, beti? Are you alright? And why are you crying?"

her mother-in-law inquired with a tone filled with warmth and care. Gauri let out a relieved breath and replied softly,

"Actually... it's nothing. Just missing my parents."

Her mother-in-law's expression softened further as she reached out to caress Gauri's face lovingly.

"Oh, dear, why cry over this? Just go and meet them,"

she said soothingly. Gauri nodded gratefully, a small smile tugging at her lips, as her mother-in-law continued,

"Food is on the table now. Come and eat with us."

Feeling a sense of reassurance and acceptance, Gauri followed her mother-in-law, grateful for the understanding and compassion extended to her in that moment. Also a relief was there as she didn't heard her conversation.

After finishing her breakfast, she got ready to meet her parents.

"maa....."

She voiced out with an emotional tone

"god bless you my child......"

"damad ji didn't came"

her father enquired

"Actually he will return during may"

her father nodded and put his hand on her

"okay, go and rest"

At night, her mother came to her room to have some chitchat with her

"now tell me how everything is there. You are  not talking to that boy.....right?"

her mother asked, concern evident in her voice as she searched Gauri's eyes for reassurance.

Gauri gulped nervously, summoning a forced smile as she responded,

"No, maa. Don't worry, I am giving this marriage a chance."

Her mother smiled warmly, a sense of relief washing over her. She gently placed her daughter's head in her own lap, offering silent comfort and support in that tender moment.

"mera baccha, jodiyaan to mahadev banaate. ham to bas ek maadhyam hai. Believe in his decision."

Gauri listened to her mother's comforting words, silent tears rolling down her cheeks. A month had passed since she had come to her parents' home. Despite her efforts to convince her ex-boyfriend to move on, he remained stubborn and unwilling to let go. Now, faced with the prospect of leaving, Gauri knew she needed more time.

Summoning all her courage, she dialed her husband's number, her heart pounding with apprehension.

"Hello,"

she managed to say, her voice trembling.

"Hello... Say,"

 Shivam responded, his tone expectant.

Gauri took a deep breath before speaking.

"Actually, I want to spend some more time here... I mean, I need more time... I want to complete my studies... If you..."

Before she could finish, Shivam interrupted, his voice steady and reassuring.

"Don't worry, I will talk to your parents."

With that, he abruptly ended the call, leaving Gauri feeling a mix of gratitude and uncertainty.

In Delhi, Shivam dialed his father-in-law's number and discussed the situation with him. Initially hesitant about the idea of his newlywed daughter living at her parents' house, Gauri's father-in-law eventually agreed. Relief washed over Shivam as he hung up the phone, grateful for the understanding and support of his in-laws.

Taking a deep breath, he began to prepare for his exams, knowing that he had made the right decision in supporting his wife's wishes as they both need time.
