Renegade X I Was Never There
Silence filled the atmosphere of the van, Gaz in the drivers seat with Price next to him. Alejandro, Ghost, Rudy and Soap sat near you making sure you didn't make a wrong move or perhaps even think of escaping.
Alejandro sat across from you with an expressionless face, seeing the foundation that covered your tattoo fade away. You were upset. Very upset. At that moment you knew you disliked Alejandro. Almost hated him for helping them catch you. Hated him for working with these men.
Thinking back to your friends, you were relieved that they managed to get away before being caught. That was your only priority back there, to help them get away.
The van came to a halt, Gaz, Price, and Rudy getting out of the van to grab their belongings from the motel. "Keep an eye on her, we'll be back." Price stated before closing the door and catching up to Gaz and Soap. There you sat silently with your head still down, refusing to look or talk to anyone, especially Alejandro.
It was awkward, too awkward. Alejandro still looked at you but this time an upset expression played on his face. You ignored him slowly scooting yourself from the large man with the skull mask.
"Why is this guy so fucking huge...?" You asked yourself. Soap watched you uncomfortably shift down the seat before looking at Ghost who was unbothered but still alert.
"Am I scary to you?," you heard the man with the skull mask say to you, his darks eyes peeping through the holes. It was creepy, but nonetheless his accent didn't sound American. It was a more British accent, his voice deep and frightening like.
"What's your name?" Soap asked looking at you.
Still keeping your head low you hesitated at first, letting your gut tell you what to do. Since you refused to speak, Alejandro turned his head to Soap. "Her name is y/n," Alejandro said crossing his arms while looking at you making your brows furrow. "Alejandro, how do you-"
"I don't need anyone speaking for me." You said quietly in annoyance bringing your head up darting your eyes at him. Soap and Ghost looked at both of you in confusion before looking at each other. "You haven't changed I see," Alejandro tilted his head while smiling sarcastically.
"Right," you said faking a smile before going back to your annoyed expression. "Since when does it matter to you anyway?" You scoffed shaking your head before the doors of the van opened, Rudy placing suitcases and bags near Ghost.
"Since when did I say it did?" Was all he said only to make your blood boil.
That familiar tension in the past between you both slowly came back and slowly grew. Soap and Ghost could feel the hate and anger radiate from you, but still let you be even though it seemed that you could lose your temper at any moment.
You composed yourself not letting your anger get the best of you. But it was hard with Alejandro because just looking at him made you mad, not even hesitant to say the least about it.
Couple hours passed and finally you arrived at the destination. The back doors of the van were opened revealing to you a large landscape, possibly in the middle of no where. It was desert like but instead of it being empty, a door could be seen under a hill covered in large rags and a couple of dead trees.
But above the hill, you could see the city from here. The lights glowed beautifully in the dark night sky only making you think back to your friends.
At least they were safe, but what about you? You didn't get to escape so now you were stuck with the group that hunted criminals for a living.
Snapping from your thoughts a large hand grabbed your handcuffed wrists, leading you to that well hidden door. From the outside it seemed like a small hill house, but once you entered it was the size of a barn!
"What the hell..." you thought as Alejandro grabbed you from Ghost's grip, removing the handcuffs and sat you in a chair.
Price grabbed a chair as well, sitting down in front of you while everyone else stood up.
"So, what's your name doll?" He asked settling down his weapon on the floor. "Y/n." You stated rolling your eyes while sitting back in the chair with your arms crossed.
"Well, y/n. You were really a fast one back there," he told as you looked to the side in annoyance.
"But, you really thought you could escape from us? Soldiers?" His accent was the same as Ghost's, wondering if they were all British. Well except for Alejandro. (lol)
"Are you underestimating me...?" You said in an irritated voice while leaning towards him. "I've escaped many times from people like you, especially with no help." Silence echoed the atmosphere for a bit before Price spoke.
"Oh I know. You've escaped many times while leaving a trail of dead bodies behind you. But with Gonzalez's help you still managed to get away," he looked at your irritated expression after mentioning Marcos.
"But look at you now, sitting in a chair with very skilled soldiers around you. Isn't that hilarious?"
Before he could speak again you cut him off.
"Fuck you," you cursed at him while gripping onto the chair seat.It was at that moment where you lost your temper, slowly clenching your fists while everyone looked at you. "Anger won't solve your problems miss l/n, but I do have a proposal for you," he added making you curious. "What's the proposal..." you said tilting your head.
"Help us find your friend Marcos and we won't turn you in," you froze at his suggestion making you laugh in disbelief. "You really think I'm gonna work with you?" Price stood up and looked down at you.
"Unless you want us to turn you in, we won't hesitate if we have to," At first you thought it was best to be in prison than helping them find your friends. But before you could respond, maybe it was best to think of a plan while being with them. "Fine..." you whispered ashamed of your "defeat".
Price nods at you while looking at Alejandro. "Alright then, you will be staying here. We'll provide you essentials and give you a personal room until we can arrange that mission." He spoke before signaling Soap and Gaz to take you to a room while Price pulled Alejandro aside.
"I need you to keep an eye on her, follow her every move, whatever is necessary. We can't have her escape when we're one step away from catching Gonzalez." He whispered to Alejandro while placing his hand on his shoulder.
"Don't worry Captain, I'll keep a good eye on her." He said before walking away from Price and into his office. Sitting down in his chair he couldn't help but think about you that other night. "Alright cabron, not the time" he said to himself massaging his temple.
Entering the small room Gaz and Soap let you take in the unfamiliar surroundings. It felt weird not being able to be with your friends, not being able to go home. You felt shitty to the point where you didn't want to be here and attempt to escape instead.
But for now you had to go with the flow of their plan, then think of a way to warn Marcos and the rest. It wasn't going to be easy, but if you've escaped from skilled soldiers in the past, then you could do it again.
