perfect night

Right before Yunjin is about to head out for her date the guy ditches her with a rather rude message. Rather than feeling sad or disappointed about it Yunjin just feels annoyance simmering inside of her: she prepared for this date after all. Like the way it usually goes with a lot of the dates she meets through dating apps she expected tonight to end with getting her back blown out. Yunjin didn't just shave: she even put on her cutest lingerie, the one that cost her more money than she would like to admit. Men are useless, she realizes for what is far from the first time. Her fingers or toys will have to do for now then — after Chaewon is gone obviously — and the shaving was for no reason after all.

"Men are useless" She repeats out loud to Chaewon who let herself in after Yunjin texted her and informed her about her change of plans. "You're absolutely right" The older girl agrees, patting her on the back. Chaewon is a lesbian, Yunjin knows this, but that doesn't mean she doesn't have to deal with the stupidity of men.

Gentle fingers find Yunjin's and interlock their hands, squeezing in a show of comfort. "It was his loss to not go on a date with you, remember that, yeah?"

"I know" Yunjin answers easily. She knows that there's nothing wrong with her and that one guy ditching her doesn't mean the world is ending. "It just sucks...I was preparing for getting laid today, you know?"

"Oh" For some reason the older girl looks caught off guard by the admittedly straightforward statement, her eyes wide and her cheeks slightly pink.

"Yeah, I even shaved and all" The taller girl continues to over share, not really seeing anything wrong with that. Chaewon is her best friend, there's nothing weird about talking about things like that. "But we can order some food and make the rest of today better, right?" It's one of those rare moments where Yunjin uses the 'I'm younger than you' card, played up innocence on her face to make the older girl pay for their meal.

"No" Comes the immediate reply which makes Yunjin let out a sound of confusion. "I mean, sure, we can order takeout later but what I mean is...you don't have to spend today with not getting laid" The shorter girl then explains herself. It doesn't really explain anything to Yunjin, confusion still written all over her face.

"And how should I do that? Going up to random men and begging for dick? I might be desperate, Unnie, but not that desperate"

"Who said anything about dick?" It feels like the more they talk the less Yunjin understands what their conversation is about. Chaewon seems a little frustrated now, moving on top of Yunjin until she's straddling her lap — the younger girl's hands automatically steady her by her waist — and looking at her with something the taller girl has never seen in her eyes. "I'm offering to fuck you"

Yunjin is left staring at her best friend, completely speechless by her suggestion. "What?" Leaves her mouth eventually, quiet and unsure. "I could treat you better than this dude. Better than any man in fact" The older girl says calmly like this is a normal conversation and not the groundbreaking one Yunjin sees this as. Her mind is all messed up, not sure how to process the fact that her best friend is offering to fuck her.

"But I'm- I don't-" No normal sentence seems to want to come out of the younger girl's mouth, the words coming out like a incoherent mess. 'But I'm straight' she wants to say with desperation, 'I don't like girls like that' she wants to defend herself even though she knows there's no reason to be so defensive.

"I know" Chaewon assures her, something eerily similar to hurt in her voice. Yunjin isn't sure of the reason behind it, lost about what could possibly have the other girl feeling like this right now. "I know, Yunjin" The shorter girl repeats, something almost desperate in her voice as she looks at her best friend. "You can just pretend that I'm a guy if that makes things more comfortable for you"
