"did i hear that right?!"

after mia took charlotte out the building she was still trying to process everything that just happened especially as mia grabbed her hand and physical contact was a massive thing for Charlotte.

"I know you walk home sweetheart want me to drop you off and pick you up when your ready?" mia asked not realising she was still holding charlottes hand.

"..oh...yeah thanks.." she said not being able to manage all the things going on but she wasn't complaining she might actually be able to change mia and get over her shitty ex husband? hopefully.

mia opened the car door for charlotte as she got in and drove charlotte home something in mia felt genuinely happy and comfortable she hoped Charlotte felt like that but she would never know she was trying though.

"it's this one! thanks mia-.. oh and here." charlotte said as mia parked on the pavement as she handed her a piece of paper. It was charlottes number so she knew when mia was coming to pick her up.

"see you whenever sweetheart." mia said saying her goodbyes before driving off to her own home not far from charlottes as she got in and added charlottes number to her phone the contact name being "sweetheart ❤️" as she messaged charlotte the information.

charlotte decided to wear her nice clothes because it was a once in a lifetime opportunity for her she's never thought about being with a woman until mia appeared and showed honest feelings for her even if she wasn't a good person to start off with. charlotte ended up wearing a black dress not too extra but not too much like she hadn't tried, she put some perfume on after she had finished her hair and everything when she saw the message mia sent.

"right I need someone to look after you lot don't I.." charlotte said turning around to her two children.

"where are you going momma?" the youngest one said.

"I'm going out with a.. friend.." charlotte said before she dialled her mums number she lived next door so she wouldn't mind having them for a night since she didn't know when she'd be home, thankfully she agreed and had the children for the night.

*10 minutes later*

Charlotte was finishing up some house work when she heard a knock on the door, she quickly got up and for a minute debated it but opened it seeing mia stood there looking really nice. charlotte locked her door as approached mia.

"looking good sweetheart." mia said sending butterflies through charlottes stomach as she sort of flushed up trying to be calm.

"..n..not bad yourself." she said back clearly nervous making mia chuckle a bit as she opened the car door for charlotte again as they got in and went to the bar she wasn't planning on coming out completely sober so she expected to say a few risky things to mia which is what always happens when she drinks.

*after they arrived and went inside*

charlotte and mia where having a fairly nice conversation especially for mia she never really had decent conversations.. with anyone.

"yeah she messed it up completely so we went to get a new one." charlotte said talking about something that happened the other day.

"what a prick she won't do it again trust me." mia said making charlotte chuckle a little.

they eventually got seated and they were still rambling to eachother like you do when your out with someone.. especially if it's your love interest.. ( live laugh love mialotte 🫢)
