A small breath and silence. It repeats again, small breath and silence.

All that the blue Algebralien could ever think about at the moment was peace and quiet. The mind twisted and turned, and they could only imagine a life that they had desired since the beginning. They pulled up a recurring dream that commonly happened since 14 years ago: a vivid landscape full of lemon-colored trees and blades of grass drifting with the wind. Large gusts of wind pushed through the branches of the sturdy trees, and the Algebralien imagined the phenomenon of their greatest desire.

The quiet soon descended and an uprise of chatter burst. Out of dust, forms of people started appearing around the undisturbed being. The forms of people were objects, commonly seen around the Algebralien's planet. Those objects were constantly talking, talking about something relating to change. Words like "show" and "prize" were frequently used to describe the event. Soon enough, the unusual being was surrounded by these people. They bombarded them with questions and excitement. Surely, this occurrence was out of the ordinary to them. The Algebralien was sort of pleased, but annoyed by the crowding, so they tried to explain their reasons for arriving. But when they tried to speak, no words came out. This was something new to them, since they were able to talk before during their recurring vision. It was sort of like their ability to talk was disabled; no words came out of their mouth, and no one knew what they were trying to say.

The landscape started shifting into various forms. This was exceptionally out of control, the being didn't cause this to happen.  The fantasy kept distorting from its original phase. It could've been a hallucination, but that seemed like no such thing in the mindscape; the dream had a mind of its own. The blue Algebralien started feeling uncomfortable by that fact that that could be the cause, but they stood their ground and tried to control it. The abstract world finally came to an abrupt stop, but it wasn't the same dream they had once believed in.

The sight was no longer trees and grass going on for miles. Instead, the now disorientated Algebralien was standing in the midst of an endless meadow full of bright yellow sunflowers. The flowers surrounded them and covered everything in their line of sight. This was something that they did not pull up. The mind had created a vision for them. In the middle of the gaping field was someone facing away from them. The person was shorter than the blue Algebralien and was the color of the flowers surrounding them. It was almost like they could blend in with the pasture. Fixated on the figure far away, they ran through the field trying to reach them. Sunflowers were being trampled over but they didn't seem to notice. They tried yelling over to them, but still, their voice was muted.

Immediately when they were at least 20 feet apart, the blue individual finally recognized who it was: their best friend, the one other Algebralien they cared about more than anything in the world. Once again, they tried calling out to their friend, but no words came out. Their friend stood there motionless, and that is what made Four awfully concerned. They ignored their voice problem and walked even closer to the other Algebralien. He grabbed them and forcefully turned them around.  On their face a large mark of blood smeared all over. Their eyes were closed, trying to not look at the horrors that they could've seen. Their mouth had little drips of blood as well, as if they coughed so hard that it broke their throat. There was no response. Dead silent.

The blue Algebralien, horror-stricken by this, backed up slowly away from the other. Their heart-rate accelerated and the ambience became more eerie. They felt more agitated by the second, knowing that something wrong was definitely going on here. Again, the world distorted from its current phase, but Four was even more scared than earlier. The distortion started releasing high-pitched noises and shrieking voices around them. It surrounded them and became louder and louder each time. Four tried screaming to counter them, but it's no use. Now, the scenery was no longer peaceful or calm.

The once tranquil lands were covered in ashes and smoke. Wildfires spread all over the trees and the grass. The ambience was no longer welcoming to anyone; it was chaotic. Then, there was the rising sound of screams. They couldn't depict what they meant, but they knew it was of fear. Four was now on their guard and surveying the remains of the land. On the floor, the remaining patches of grass were covered in traces of blood. Broken objects were scattered across; some were still standing, but most were no longer moving. Violence had taken place. Something was happening, but a presence was blocking him from understanding it. Something full of anger, rage, fear. It made a shrieking cackle, just like the one that they heard minutes ago. Its laughter rang through the mind, endlessly repeating itself that it made them scream in tears. In the blink of an eye, the land shifted again, but it had become a vast astral plane full of light colors.

There were three entities standing before him, but they couldn't tell who they were. The entities' shape was hazy but resembled objects. This time, they could actually understand their pleas."Don't do this, please..." " Guys he's not listening to us. We need to go like now." "Why did you do this?? Why would you—"Four's troubling anxiety builded up, causing them to hardly breathe. The objects surrounded them, fighting them with each word. Each yell, each breath that sharpened . A small breath and silence. A small breath and silence. A large breath and screams. A sharp gasp and "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT FROM M—"

Instantly, the scenery changed back to the old meadow, but most of the flowers were gone. The sunflowers were painted red. as if in the shade of red was blood. Four felt something touching their hand. It was the first time they actually looked at it. Their hand was covered in someone's blood. Shocked by this, they started hyperventilating, getting panicky by the second. Then the thought came up: X. Four collapsed onto the ground kneeling. Tears started filling up in their eyes. Their voice was sore, but it didn't stop them. "Please..." they cried out. "I don't...want this... I don't want this..... where's X.... please...." They picked themselves up, but no longer was in a croaked voice. They started screaming, eyes bursting with tears, and ran straight ahead. Four could only think about X, they didn't care about this situation. They didn't care about anyone else. All that was on their mind was X.

"YOU'RE ONLY MAKING THINGS WORSE. I HATE THIS. WHERE'S X?!!? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO THEM???? WHERE ARE THEY??? I SWEAR IF YOU DONT ANSWER ME, GET THE ACTUAL FUCK OUT BEFORE I—"

The furious Algebralien tripped onto a large puddle, splashing a liquid all over him, causing them to cut off. They were standing in the place where X was before, when they were facing away from them. When Four tried getting up from it, they noticed something in the pool of blood.

They looked at it for a minute, but they didn't recognize who it was, all bruised and scarred, eyes with an ominous stare. Then they realized, the reflection.

"Me..?"
