The sound of static raced through the room. The living room was engulfed in darkness, as if the night had surrounded the couch, laid in the middle. The only light on was the TV, playing a television show that had been left on since the previous night.

"Firey! Coiny! Stop fighting! And Spongy, ta—

The TV turned off suddenly, the only reason being the remote clutched tightly in Four's hand. They stared at the powered-off TV, giving no response except with an accelerating heart-pulse. Weakly trying to stand up from the couch, their blood coursed through their veins at the same rate: fast.  Four's pupils dilated, continuously staring at the fading light. That dream was... something, they thought. The room was covered in darkness once again. Eventually, the sun gleamed through the window in the room, and soon enough, the entire area was covered in radiant luminosity, and the echoes of X's tired yawn reached the room.

The alarm clock rang at the time of 7:30. This this the day, I thought. The day Four thought about all of their existence. Hosting a show. I sat up on the bed, rubbing my eyes, scraping off the morning dew surrounding them. I kicked the underneath of the bed, accidentally knocking the BFDI over. Must've left it here again, Four. "Oops, sorry 'bout that." I apologized to it. I picked it back up and placed it on the bed, hopefully, with no scratches. I headed to the bathroom to wash my face, expecting that I would hear Four run over to my room screeching in excitement. There was nothing. "Four? Did you fall asleep again??" I called out. "C'mon, you were the one excited to get up in the first place." I raced down the hallway, face still wet, rushing into Four's bedroom. (We decided to stay in separate rooms for the meantime, until we were ready. Though, if we did share the same room, one day, I'd clean the room and the next day, it would be a mess again. The bedroom was unscathed from last night, everything in the same position, messy. The blanket was unorganized and folded in random parts. On the walls were posters of some people; one was a character called Firey, another being a person known as Gelatin. "Four? Where are you??" I called out again.

I turned around, walking towards the staircase and trotted down it. I peeked over the bars I saw them standing in front of the TV, as if spooked by something.  I quietly ran down the stairs and reached the living room, grabbing Four by the hand. Immediately, Four snapped out of it and became conscious again, but they didn't seem well.  Their eyes were so droopy, dark rings around them, a sign of no sleep. Sweat ran down from their head, splashing onto the floor, as if in a splish-splosh sound. While holding their hand, it vibrated constantly, shaking myself as well. "...X..." they finally said. "...I...I-" "It's okay Four." I cutted off. "You don't have to tell me anything; I guess you've been watching TV too much, or dreamt something, heh." I gave a slight chuckle, but Four didn't find it funny at all. They just stood there and stared at me, slightly disturbed. I felt awkward and decided to change the topic back to what the day was importantly about. "Four, you know today is the day right? The day of our ho" "OH RIGHT!!" Four said, finally in a happier mood. They jumped up and made a tiny screech (not really tiny to a person's ear.) "Damnit, how did I forget about that? Of course, hosting! Hurry up X!! Today is the day!" Four ran up the stairs, constantly reminding themself. "Today's the day! Today's the day..! Today's...the..day...to.." Their voice trailed off as they went further, and I stood back in the living room.

There they are.

"LIY! LET GO OF TEARDROP!!"

I look at tree who is blabbering nonsense about Teardrop's vocal chords. "I'm helping her, Tree." I replied, very irritated with his complaints.  (Tree in a mockingful way) "She can't talk, which is obviously annoying for her, I would if it were me; I'm literally trying to help get her voice back! You should be thanking me!!" Tree stares at me with a disgusted look, and turns their attention to Ice Cube, who is standing right next to me holding Teardrop upwards. "Ice Cube! This isn't okay! Teardrop doesn't want to be hurt like this. You might as well cause her death!!" Ice Cube looks at me holding Teardrop's mouth open and latching onto her tongue. She has tears coming through her eyes, making me confused since she is literally water. "I don't want to do this anymore, Liy," she says in a worrisome tone.  I stop, still holding Teardrop's mouth open, and turn to face Icy, scowling. "Ice Cube, you said you were going to help me. YOU said you were cool!" Ice Cube's tone changes and becomes more angrier in her voice. "That's IT!! I WANT TO STOP."
