kaitlyn and leilani were at cheer practice, since an important football game was coming up, which everyone was hyped about. "Kayla" leilani said as kaitlyn looked over her shoulders to face her "Hm?" kaitlyn asked her, distracted, as her mind wondered around, not really paying attention.
"Girl, are you okay?" leilani chuckled to herself, seeing kayla's face change out of the blue watching tareeq walk by. "Uh.. me and tareeq broke up." kayla huffed as she sat down on the ground. "Wait, why? all you guys do is break up and get back together man." lani said, frustrated with the two. kayla didn't say anything as it was silent for a minute, but then she spoke. "He wasn't really understanding where i was coming from, since he had games and wasn't taking this relationship seriously as in us not spending time with each other." kayla rolled her eyes.
"it's like he's more focused on pleasing the school and his teammates, than spending time with his own girlfriend!" she exclaimed. leilani frowned seeing her sister sad, so she pulled kayla up to her and gave her a brisk hug. "Hey, it's gonna be okay. sooner or later he'll realize how much of a gorgeous and amazing girl he lost, he'll be back sooner or later." leilani said smiling "Thank you lani." kayla smiled, after giggling at her sister words.
They both walked toward their group of cheerleaders, instructing them to get into 3 groups to practice a routine for the upcoming game they were gonna preform at.
"they're always bossing us around." one of the cheerleaders mumbled, and 2 other girls agreed. "what was said?" lani shouted, turning around to where the voices were coming from, her hand over her forehead to block the hot sun. "because last time i checked, you and your little group didn't meet the requirements to become captain. i don't wanna hear shit about-" kayla cut her off, telling her they have to remain professional to keep their spots as captain and to be able to preform at the next game. lani sighed, turning back around to face the group who struggled with the choreography the most.
time skip
practice was over, so lani and kayla were in the locker room, changing into their normal clothes. they grab their things, and head out the door. on the way out, they see two familiar faces. Tareeq and Nate were walking down the halls, along with Nate's girlfriend, danna. Lani rolled her eyes in annoyance at the sight of all 3 of them. Kayla tapped her, as they began to speed walk to avoid conversation between all of them.
"Kayla!" Tareeq called out, as all three of them began to walk over to the two. Danna smirking the whole time, planning to try to get under their skin. "what's up?" kayla sighed, turning around, lani following the action. "Can you unblock me so we can talk about it?" tareeq practically begged. kayla sat in thought for a moment, then she spoke. "yea, i'll unblock you. i wont be home until around 8 though." she said as she took her phone out of her pocket, tapping on her phone screen with her medium acrylic nail, seeing the time read as 6:55.
danna took this moment of silence to say "aww you think y'all are gonna work out? that's cute, but my best friend riley is already on that train and they started talking already. nice try though!" she smirked at kayla. kayla scrunched her face up, and began speaking "tareeq you're trifling, you wanna talk things out but you're talking to someone else already? and danna, don't fucking talk to me before i send lani after yo nigga, and you know she doesn't miss." she smiled, tilting her head to the side. "and you already got this ass whoopin waitin for you, don't make it come faster." lani added. tareeq tried to speak again, but both kayla and lani turned on their heels and walked away.

tareeq huffed in annoyance, and turned to face nate who had the same expression on his face. nate looked at danna saying "that was uncalled for, you know he still wants kayla. i don't know why you're trying to forced this 2man that isn't gonna happen. you've been pissing me off recently, it's like everything you do with me is to get at lani, and you use tareeq to get at kayla. are you intimidated by them or something?" danna frowned, forcing tears to come to her eyes. "but babyyyy, she's been bothering me all week with the mean faces she makes at me." danna said, as she pouted. tareeq sighed, knowing nate was gonna drop the topic so danna wouldn't cry. "okay, it's whatever. let's go guys." nate said as they all began to walk away.
