Anyway this chapter is pretty much just so you guys know I'm alive, but also because my dad and I went to the pool today and had a run in with a transphobic karen.
So if you don't know I'm trans (FTM, He/they) and I haven't cut my hair yet, so it's just below my shoulders at the moment.
Note: I'm getting it cut on the 2nd of May 2024 so it might be short depending on when you're reading this.
I was wearing a rashie and board shorts, like I usually do when I go swimming, and this pompous white lady walks up to me and says, "A beautiful young girl like you shouldn't be wearing those ugly boy's clothes, you should be wearing a bikini instead." I just looked at her and was like, okay sure she doesn't know I'm a boy that's ok I do look pretty feminine with my long hair anyways, but why is this random lady telling me I should wear a bikini?! That's so weird!
and so I said to her something like: "Look, I actually use He/they pronouns and I'm wearing this because it's what I'm comfortable wearing to the pool." AND THIS WHITE BITCH WAS STRAIGHT UP LIKE: "Oh well I don't feel comfortable with you wearing that so go change." And like I've had people misgender me before, and then I tell them and they immediately start apologising and blah blah blah. I did not expect that reaction!
Long story short, I stood my ground and she eventually gave up and left. Then my dad came back with food and asked me what that was all about and I literally just said "Oh just some old transphobic motherf###er nothing to worry about." And then we ate and had fun.
Can we all just note how the pic says shopping? like you go into target and go buy a karen from the 'white lady shit' section. I mean they must be made from a factory because they all look the same and they seem to just spawn out of nowhere.
