chapter two: getting acquainted

Diana's POV:

It was bright and early the next morning when Lily burst into my room, and I quite literally mean burst, the poor door must have felt so abused in this home.

"DINA!~ Dina Dina Dina~ my sweet amazing talented best friend and sister in spirit it's time to wake up!" She squealed skipping her way over wearing a lovely cream Summer dress with strawberries all over, her hair in a loose bun and some natural make up.

I groaned, pulling my head from under my pillow and prying my eyes open,

I was not a morning person.

My hair was a right mess, I slept in a baggy shirt and short shorts, fashionable? No, comfy? Oh most definitely.

"Five more minutes you early demon" I groaned once more, pulling the blankets over my face, only to then have a very excited Lily flop herself right on top of me, giggling like a mad man.

"Lily please you're crushing me" I groaned slowly sitting up, pushing her onto one side of the bed, she wasn't actually that heavy to me but still, I'm no pillow, so I'd prefer not to be sat on.

She squeaked as I covered her with my duvet and smirked a little seeing her struggle to get out of it for a moment, "so tell me early bird, what brings you into my pit of darkness to wake me up so early?" I asked, raising an eyebrow, a smile creeping on my face after seeing lily's own.

which was very infectious to say the least, she was the brightest bubbliest person I knew, and I knew a lot of people.

"Well we don't plan to start dress construction till tomorrow, sooooo I just wanted to see if you'd like to join me in the market today! I wanted to make sure you were comfortable with the town since you'll be here a couple weeks, might as well treat it like your home away from home!" She said excitedly, her smile beaming as always.

I smiled, I couldn't say no to that smile, I knew she liked to walk and talk, it was like our little bonding time, we loved taking trails together just to enjoy being around each other, it was therapeutic in a way for us.

"Sure, since you've already woken me up might as well, you know any good park dirt trails? I do hope no one minds my night runs" I yawn as I swing my legs off the bed.

Stretching my arms and back as I slowly rose from my very comfy bed.

"Yes! Oh you'll love them! Beautiful scenery around here! And some cute little creeks and ponds to relax at!"

"Well why don't you give me a minute to get dressed and I'll meet you in the living room?" I asked, I didn't need an answer as she skipped her way outside.

I chuckled, rolling my eyes before making my way over to my suitcase. I hadn't unpacked yet, that would be a task for when I returned, for now I pulled out some simple tight black leggings and a cream blouse.

I put my long hair into a simple plat and washed my face. I had surprisingly bright silver eyes, they looked blue sometimes but mostly silver, it was definitely an odd combination but I quite liked my appearance, I got a lot of compliments for my eyes.

Brushing my teeth and taking a couple blood tablets I headed to the living room, wearing a pair of black leather boots, nothing crazy, just a simple style and short heel.

"Alright, lead the way, my ball of energy, but you owe me a coffee for waking me up so early" I said with a playful stern voice, lily just giggled as she swung the door open heading out into the warm sunshine with me.

The sun felt nice, I was always quite a cold person physically.

We made our way down a simple path, though it was heavily surrounded by forestry like plant life, houses scattered about with dirt trails and roads leading up to them, it was honestly quite beautiful.
