Diana's POV

I had to go home early after James and that Alpha man showed up at my office in the hospital, I couldn't feel safe until I was in my home. Something about it made me feel safe, like he couldn't get to me here.

My parents were so worried about me but I couldn't bring myself to talk to them, but I'm sure someone must have seen the two men leaving my office. I hadn't even realised my other colleagues had come to check on me until I was sitting on the staff sofa with a blanket over my shoulders.

They were worried after they heard the shouting, I never lose my cool, so hearing me shout sent red flags in their minds.

They apparently came in shortly after they had left, and I'm sure they must be trying to look into them both, figure out what happened, because I wasn't saying a word, I just couldn't.

I couldn’t sleep that night either, I kept checking the locks and the Home Security system, I was paranoid that man was watching me.

That he would show up, break in and kidnap me, or kill me, I don’t know what would be worse.

The anxiety was eating me up inside and I couldn’t stop pacing, my parents were still out and I had already finished all the blood we had stored in the house, I don’t know why but I couldn’t settle my thirst, maybe it was the anxiety or maybe it was him being near, I don’t know.

I just decided to try and sleep it off or wait it out but nothing was working, and I was only feeling worse by the minute.

I had a bad feeling something was going to happen tonight, that something was awfully wrong.

What was I turning into?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2:43 AM
I couldn't understand the feelings that were coursing through my body, the horrible hungry desire I feel, the desire…the drive…to hunt a human, sink my teeth into their arteries and drink my fill.
I gave up trying to sleep a while ago and was just curled up in a blanket.
I couldn’t get the thoughts out of my mind, no matter how much I tried, how much I focused on anything, took all the medications and concoctions I could, none of them were working anymore and I was slowly losing myself to this indescribable hunger that was consuming my every waking moment.
I couldn’t sleep anymore, it was simply impossible, I felt like I was going mad, a growing surge of power inside me, clawing at my mind.
Demanding to be let out, my hearing was ringing and my eyes blurred at the edges, an almost red and milky tinge to my vision. I couldn’t do anything to change it, I was losing control and I had no way of stopping it.
I was so…so hungry.
So thirsty.
My throat felt dry as my stomach cried for blood, that crimson liquid gold.
It was late, well into the night and the moon was full.
Drink.
I had to get up and leave, I couldn’t stay in the house, I couldn’t endanger my parents like this, I couldn’t and I wouldn’t hurt them.
Drink.
I refused.
Drink.
I don’t know what I was looking for, I just needed to get away from my parents, I couldn’t hurt them.
Drink.
I was wandering aimlessly down an alleyway, trying to stay out of the public eye. I was going in and out of consciousness, just walking, my every step hurt.
