"Honda, wait a second!" I chase her as she heads to the estate's front door; this is not good. "Hello! Package for you from Speedy Delivery." A call sounded from beyond the front door; it's a bad moment for the mailman to arrive! I swiftly go ahead of Honda and block the front door while shaking my head; my hands are stretched wide, preventing her from taking another step.
"[Yn], we have to get them to the hospital! They're animals!" Honda dipped her hand beneath me and slid the door open before softly attempting to pass me. I slipped from her movement and fell back; my back made touch with something harsh, and I felt myself get smaller. A puff of dark orange smoke erupted from around me. No way, did I fall into the mailman's hands?!
"[Yn], are you oka—" Honda cuts herself off as she looks down at the floor; I dash past the mailman and hide behind his legs. "[Yn]? Sorry, I'm not whoever that is; I'm simply here to deliver the mail!" The man smiles at her as he hands out the box to her. "They're.. they're all animals!" She yells out, gazing between the four of us before casting an anxious look at the mailman.
"Yes, ma'am, I see you have some animals there. Could you sign this please? He smiles, disregarding her panting and her worried expression. "No, what I mean is—" She drops the three boys on the floor, lifts her hand, and cuts herself off. Shigure picks up the stamp with his teeth and stamps the box. "What a smart dog!" The mailman cheers as he leaves the item with us and begins walking away; I immediately loop around his legs as he turns.
"Thank you, see you next time!" He celebrates and waves as he descends the steps. My eye twitched as I walked closer to the boys; how could they let this happen? "We can't even make a good cover story if you jerks transform, too!" Kyo's back rose, his fur bristling as he roared at the three of us. "You're the one who slipped up first, stupid cat," Yuki says, lying on top of Shigure's head in defeat.
"Especially you, how could you go and slip into the mailman like that!" Kyo ignored Yuki and turned to me, snarling angrily. "Me?! I tried to help your miserable ass; it's not my fault that Honda is such a determined person!" I huff and turn away from him. Shigure woofs to get our attention before sitting up. "It's better to just tell her than to tell her a story she won't believe. I have a dog spirit, Yuki has a rat spirit, Kyo Soma over there has a cat spirit, and [Yn] has a fox spirit; all of us are possessed."
