Chapter 4: Hope for the Future

        After the Tarot Club Gathering, Sinclair found himself back in his room, lying down on his bed. Leaving the bed, he approached the vanity mirror in his room and stared at it. Bringing his left hand forward in front of him. Sinclair felt relieved. At the back of his left hand are the 3 cog symbols of different sizes.

The symbol on his left hand appeared when he was summoned to the gray fog by Mr Fool a few days ago.

At first, Sinclair was shocked and uncomfortable at the thought of having a strange symbol appear at the back of his left hand. However, glancing at the cog symbols. It became a sign of reassurance that Mr Fool and the Tarot Club Gathering weren't a dream. Sinclair didn't start experiencing delusions conjured by his mind.

They were real.

Sinclair's hope and his path of atonement exist.

Gazing at the clock hanging on the wall, the clock shows that it is approaching 5:00 am. Blinking his eyes open wearily, Emil decided to go back lying on his bed. Catching up to get a proper rest.

' 3:00 am of every Monday. '

The time of the Tarot Club Gathering. Sinclair should get used to it sooner. Closing his eyes, he eventually drifted off to sleep. Later, when Sinclair opened his eyes again, the alarm clock on his stand was saying that it was already 8 a.m.

From Mr World, Sinclair learned that there are 22 Pathways to becoming a Beyonder.

Sequence 9 is the lowest level while the 1 is the highest. Potions ingredients and formulas are needed to create a potion that was used to advance the Pathways. Becoming a Beyonder, there is a risk of going Mad and turning into a Monster.

With the compiled information from the other members of the Tarot Club, Sinclair learned the name of Sequence 9 of all pathways.

The more a Beyonder advances in a certain pathway, the more powerful they will become.

Seer, Apprentice, Marauder, Spectator, Secrets Supplicant, Bard, Sailor, Reader, Sleepless, Corpse Collector, Warrior, Hunter, Assassin, Savant, Mystery Pryer, Monster, Apothecary, Planter, Lawyer, Arbiter, Prisoner and Criminal.

Ms Justice told him that she was in the Spectator Pathway, which specialized in observation. Mr Hanged Man is in the Sailor Pathway while the Sun is in the Bard Pathway. Miss Magician and Mr World didn't reveal their respective pathways.

However, Mr World revealed that if Sinclair chose the Assassin pathway, Emil must be prepared to be turned into a girl in its next advancements.

Sinclair doesn't want to turn into a girl so he immediately removes the Assassin pathway from his list. The next thing that he did was to remove the Spectator, Sailor, and Bard Pathway from his list.

One thing that he noted or speculated was that every member of the Tarot Club must be of different pathways. Sinclair doesn't know if it was an unofficial rule. He doesn't want to offend Ms Justice, Mr Hanged Man, and the Sun if he chooses the same pathway as theirs.

Sinclair's wish was to bring his parents and sister back.
