Prologue

"Congratulations, Miss universe 2024! Miss Scarlett Jelaica Rominez of Philippines!"

I made it!

People cheer, scream, and shout my name, it was an overwhelming scenario.

After a long, long, long, long, and long process, I finally made it!

After the event, I immediately go to my Condo to rest, it was a tiring day.

My phone rang so I grabbed it and read the phone caller.

Mom

"Hey, Jelai my lovely daughter, Can you come to our house? A little celebration wouldn't hurt you, is it?" Then she chuckled.

I was so done pretending that everything was really okay now.. after.. after what they have done. The person they ruined.. I will never forget that moment.

"Jelai? Hey, Are you still there? Why aren't you answering?"

Nabulabog ang paglalakbay nang isip ko dahil sa kanyang mga salita.

"Y-yeah, I'll come. Give me 30 minutes and I'll be there"

Then I hung up, Ugh! I really hate this.

I wore a simple red backless dress that is ending below my knees. I just retouched since kakarating ko lang kanina at tumawag na agad siya. I didn't put any jewelry because it's just a celebration, why effort?

I drove my BMW from my condo to our house at Batangas.

I smiled a little and kissed her cheek, I did the same with dad and his 'friends'

"So, How does it feel to win the title 'Miss universe ' Hija?"

One of my dads friend ask, If I'm not wrong his name was Mendileev.

"Overwhelming" I simply said. My mom kicked me under the table, where we are eating right now kaya nagtaas ako Ng paningin dahil nakayuko ako.
