-GRAYSONS POV-
I sit alone at the desk in my room evaluating all of the documents from the will. It all starts to look like a puzzle to me. As I work my mind wonders off to me and Dahlia as kids solving puzzles and having adventures.
~
"Gray! I found it I found it!" Dahlia came running up to me with a glass ballerina in her hand.
"Good job black dahlia," I said calmly with a big smile on my face.
We both ran into the living room homing to have beat my younger brothers. Upon entering the big wooden doors we saw that the room was empty so we began our search. We were told to find all the clues before the real game began. We already had the glass ballerina, purple puzzle piece, and the candy wrapper. Now all we needed was the pocket knife.
I searched the couch cushions and around the fire place while Dahlia searched under the furniture and near the doors. Finally I felt a button on the backside of the candelabra on the fireplace. I pushed it to reveal a secret compartment which held the knife.
"Dahls! I got it let's go!" I called to her.
We raced up the stairs to my grandfathers office. With great force we shoved open the oak doors and calmly walked up to the desk before setting the clues down.
"And what do you have?" My grandfather inquired.
"The items you requested," Dahlia responded in a professional tone.
"And that is?"
"Must I use my words in such a redundant manner or are you gathering dementia?"
My grandfather chuckles, "okay I'll bite. You have all of the clues?"
"That is indeed what I said is it not?" Dahlia asked.
"It is," my grandfather says examining the items, "Good job. You two win."
Me and Dahlia high five, "We are the greatest puzzle team ever!" I exclaim
~
I sigh before standing up and making my way over to Dahlia's room. Hesitantly, I raise my fist to knock on the door. As I stand there and wait for an answer I think about backing away, about leaving and pretending I was never there. It's been so long since me and Dahlia were one. Were normal. Just before I can step away the door opens to reveal Dahlia in a baggy shirt and leggings. It takes me a minute to respond because this look is not her normal. Usually she is put together and business like but now she's comfortable and relaxed. It's a good look on her.
"Grayson?"
"Hi, um, I was wondering if you'd be interested in helping me sort through some documents?"
"Why not I've got nothing better to do," She replies shrugging.
We walk back down the corridor in silence. I try to shake off the awkward energy but I just can't. Nothing has been the same with us since the incident with Emily. I hate that we can't go back to us.
"So what are the documents?" She asks breaking the silence.
"Oh just some legal papers. I just can't find a loophole."
"Maybe there's no loophole to be seen. Maybe there's no puzzle you know."
I just nod my head maybe there was no puzzle in the papers but there was a puzzle to figure out between us and I was going to figure it out.
I'm sorry it's a little bland I can't shake my writers block. ALSO! I apologize for not updating frequently I'm doing it when I can. I have not forgotten about you guys! Okay so on to the important stuff how do we feel about Graysons POV? Should I do it again?
