It is now Friday and today we go to Birmingham to play against Aston Villa. I haven't stopped thinking about what almost happened in the Recovery room. I told Bella and Ava everything that happened and they haven't stopped talking about it. And the problem is that I can't stop thinking about her, how her hands were on my body, her mouth so close to mine and how her eyes looked into my soul. I really didn't want her to stop, and I think I've been reading too much dark romance, because if she were to kidnap me. I had let her down. Oh god, I'm not going to think like this about her. I don't even know if she likes me, or if I even like her. and I like her, but maybe I don't want to admit it. I just have to stop thinking about her, because of what she does to my body in the Recovery room, and just by being near me. I won't be able to cope. In any case, I'm taking out my bags for the car now to go to the training center.
We go there by bus so I bring a whole book series with me, I mean I have to have something to do on the bus. Once I get to the training center, I go straight to Bella and help her load the medicine things onto the bus.
When everything was packed me and Bella jumped on the bus with the others and all the players started getting on the bus. me and bella went over some of the stuff we want to go over before the game. Bella was talking to me, but I zoomed out. Leah got on the bus and we made eye contact. she smiled at me and I melted, how can be so cute. How her hair was so perfect, her clothes were so simple but looked so good on her. "Emma, hello" Bella waves her hand in front of my eyes to get my attention. "huh?" I say, Bealla just laughs. "You're obsessed with her," Bella says laughing. "I'm not, what did you say?" I ask as I was too busy looking at Leah than listening to Bella. "I just said that once we start driving, if you can look at Beth's ankle?" Bella asks me and I answer "I can do that" Bella smiles and says "good, bring cooling if you need" and I nod.
As we start to leave, I grab the things I need and start walking towards Beth. I see that she is sitting on the couch in the back with Viv, Kate, Caitlin, Steph and Leah. "Hey Em" Beth says, and I was surprised she called me that, it's only Ava spm calls me that. "Um? That didn't sound very professional, Beth Mead," I say with folded arms. and I hear Leah chuckle at what I said, and Beth laughs "are you talking about being a pro, how's the blonde going" and I feel my face go red and I guess everyone saw it because everyone started laughing and Beth says "did you get nervous Emma" Beth says and it makes me look at Leah who has a smirk on her face, she knows exactly what it is I start thinking when Beth said that. "no, I didn't Beth, I have to look at your ankle" I say and put my things on the table while Beth takes off her shoes and pulls up her pants so I can look at the ankle. "I think you can play tomorrow, but not the full 90 minutes" I say and Beth nods. "I need to be wrapped and put on cold, okay?" I say and she just nods, so I start wrapping her ankle.
When I finish wrapping the ankle, I say to Beth "I'm just going to put a cold pack on, does it fit?", "it fits well" she says and I put the cold pack on and start to bandage up but am stopped by Beth who says "turn Leah didn't you hurt that finger?" Beth says, making me look at Leah who is already looking at me. "It's not that bad," Leah says, but something in me makes me want to make sure she's okay, even if it's just her finger. "it's lung it goes fast, which finger is it?" I ask her as I walk towards her. Leah picks up her hand and shows her little finger which is slightly swollen and bruised. I take her hand in mine and kneel on the floor, "Leah this is not small, it looks sprained" I say and start to examine the finger, when I start to feel the finger, Leah fumes because she is in pain and puts her hand at me to try to remove it, "does that hurt there?" I ask and she nods. But she doesn't remove her hand, instead she does the opposite, and takes my hand in hers and holds on, I don't complain so I let her. start wrapping her hand, When done wrapping I look up at Leah who is already looking at me, "is it okay?" I ask and she nods. We still hold hands. I put the cooler in her hand and stood up from the floor but was stopped by Leah not letting my hand go, "Leah?" I ask and she looks at me "do you want to let go of my hand so I can collect?" I ask her and she blushes a little and says "sorry" and lets go of my hand, "it doesn't matter" I say with a smile and stand up and I'm met by everyone's faces that have a smug smile on them. "What?" I ask; "why does she get to hold your man and not me" Beth asks while pretending to be hurt. I just roll my eyes and start piecing things together as I reply to Beth "because you have a girlfriend next to you and if no one else is hurt I'm going back to my seat" I say and start walking to my place. When I get back to my seat, I put the things back and sit next to Bella with a map in my hand. "Why did you take so long?" Bella asks as I open the folder where we write when someone is injured. "because Leah hurt her little finger so I needed to fix that too" I say as I write down Leah's finger in the folder. After I finish writing, start reading my book for the rest of the trip.
When we get to the hotel we all go in because Jonas had something to say, "so there must have been something wrong with the booking so there must be two in a room, which means some players have to share with an employee" says Jonas, and I panic a bit easily, if I end up in a room with Leah I'll be fine, keeping my hands to myself and not so weird thoughts when she's lying next to me would be impossible. but it's so much fun, it's probably not going to happen. "So the ones who will have to share a room are Beth and Bella, Katie and Caitlin, Leah and Emma... Fuck, I mean I'm not sorry but I won't make it, the last time we were alone in a room we almost kissed. "Emma stop daydreaming and help me with the stuff"says Bella and starts to walk to the bus, "I'm not daydreaming" I say and follow her "sure you didn't, I know what you're up to" she says and turns to me with a smug smile. I just roll my eyes and take the bags with the medicine stuff.
Me and Bella are in the elevator going up to our room, we realized when we look at our room numbers that we live next to each other. "I don't want to hear moans or the bed slamming against the wall" Bella says out of the blue, "WHAT" I say in shock, "I said I don't want to hear moans or.." says Bella but I interrupt her before she says it no "I heard what you said, just huh. why would you hear that?" I ask, really wondering what she's thinking, the elevator opens and we get out, and Bellar says "I just see the way you look at each other, you basically eye fucking each other" she says like it was a normal thing to say, "it We don't," I say defensively. "if you say so" Bella says as we get to our rooms, "see you tomorrow" Bella says and goes into her room. I take a deep breath before entering. Once I'm inside, I'm greeted by the bathroom door opening, out comes Leah in just a towel. "Hey, boss. looks like we're going to share a room" Leah says but I just stare at her, I look her body up and down. "Emma, when you're done staring at my body, I have to ask if it matters which bed you have" Leah says and I look up at her and blush "sorry, uh.. it doesn't matter which bed" I say , and Leah just has a smug smile "don't say sorry, you can look at me as much as you want, love." she says and goes to her bed. And I think minna ben gave up. I stand in the hall for a while before I go into the room and see Leah looking at the bed leaning against the window so I go to the other bed. I open my suitcase and take the things I need and go into the bathroom.
When I'm done with my evening routine, I go out into the room and sit on my bed, Leah is sitting on her cell phone. I continue to read my book, until I hear how Leah moves in the bed and turns off the lamp in her bed, "good night, love" Leah says and I get butterflies in my stomach when she says it, it's so right when she said that. "Goodnight Leah" I say to her and I how she giggles and mumbles "always professional". Her giggle was so cute that I almost died, god this is going to be hard sharing a room with her. I finished reading the chapter before putting my book away. When I'm about to heal, I look over at Leah who is now facing me, her hair is a little over her face. She looks so peaceful. I turn off the light and try to sleep even though Leah is lying in bed just next to me.
